Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Well I am truly that rare individual - nearly perfectly average. Did a step test today to determine my maximum heart rate. The discredited formula says it should be 165 while others are near there. The maximum I reached today was 164 and I had to let off a bit the last 30 sec due to my dodgy wrist, ...

Re: Please critique my form

Thanks for your responses! My plan then is to work on keeping my heels planted for now in order to stop over-compressing, and lower the feet a notch. Glen I think I did raise that a while back, thanks for the reminder. After getting that sorted a bit I will focus on the hip swing, and work to separa...

Re: How do you mix workouts with a rower and slierg

I tend to not mix my workouts up much so I don't have much to add other than thanks for choosing our products- but I wanted to tell you that we have started an in-house 1-2-3 triathlon challenge for "fun". 1K on the SkiErg, 2K on the rower and 3K on the Bike.....running time including transitions.....

Please critique my form

I was forced to drastically cut back on rowing due to wrist pain for the last several weeks. I have decided as I return it would be a good time to step back and work on my form and technique before I worry about times . Please take a look and let me know what needs corrected. I appreciate any input ...

How do you mix workouts with a rower and skierg

I have had my model E for about 8 months. Today the wife and I ordered both a bikeerg (for her) and a skierg for both of us. I am excited, but don't know how to mix it into my routine which is currently 3 days lifting and 3 days rowing each week, with a dynamic stretching day on Sunday. To those who ...

Perhaps sidewinder could provide a patent number or link to the patent application? I would be interested in reviewing it.

Re: Rowing twice per day?

Last week I did row twice a day and noticed the effect by the end of the week. I have been doing circuit training in the am and rowing in the afternoon for 6 months.Last week I was doing a 10000M SS in the morning then the Beginner Pete Plan week 21 in the afternoon. By the end of the week I was fee...

Re: Pete Plan 2017

Great job everyone! I agree with barrec re. jans and nhopkins - you guys are working hard. Completed week 21 of the BPP last week. I have an injured foot so instead of circuit training in the am I did a 10K strapless SS each morning, then the BPP workout in the afternoon. It was not a particularly g...

8/9/17 BPP 20.4 - 10000M SS - planned to stay under 20SPM, then forgot at the beginning. Re: Pete Plan 2017

@nhopkins - as the others have said - you are doing well and are making progress. As long as you continue to work consistently the progress will continue. I have found myself getting a bit discouraged at what seems slow progress but when I look at my logs I see a PB somewhere every week or so. Not e...

Re: Pete Plan 2017

@nhopkins - welcome aboard! Looks like you are off to a good start - the important thing for now is to just keep showing up. That doesn't mean everyday though; at least one day a week for recovery is as important as anything to keep you going. marius, barrec, Tom - you guys just bow me away when I s...

Re: Pete Plan 2017

Hello again everyone. I have been following along but took a detour from the BPP so I wasn't posting. Everyone seems to be making great progress, it is cool to see. I had a couple of weeks of family stuff and doing more LSS sessions. I had a goal to hit 1M meters before my birthday so I focused on t...

Re: Pete Plan 2017

@Tom - Wow, some really impressive sessions during a busy week. That 6000M is really impressive. @derico - Good job on the 10min intervals. You are really making progress lately. And the 4x2000 - I am impressed. @barrec - great job on the 10k - is that a PB then? @jans - welcome aboard. Don't worry ...

Re: Pete Plan 2017

@Tom - nice pyramid! Looking at that I would think you would nail the sub 7. Great speed. @Derico - nice sessions. That 30 min at 18spm is pretty nice power real close to the 10W that james and others talk about, and strapless. 4/8/17 BPP 17.5 4x8 min / 2'r - I tried to keep these sub 2:00, but the ...
