Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Hi Team! I read the posts almost daily and I am continually encouraged by each one of you! What a wonderful team we have as a result of our collective commitment to encourage one another! I continue to putter along on the erg as I make slow strides towards improving my own PB times. This weekend was...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Hey Guys, I have been a silent participant to the team over the past few months but wanted to chime in and say that I continue to really appreciate all of the encouragement that is offered from such an outstanding team! Also I wanted to mention that I left teh timbuktoo team and rejoined the "Timbuk...

Re: Am I training too hard?

Thanks again guys for the information and for the creative ideas! Also thanks for the explanation on the interval workouts. It makes much more sense now. I think I have been suffering from two things in regards to erging. First, I have had a terrible lack of variety as I have been rowing 5000m six d...

Re: Am I training too hard?

Wow! You guys rock! Thanks Greg for the excellent suggested workouts that fit my time constraints. Really cool! I will have to take the time to digest what you have suggested and maybe give it a shot over the next few weeks. Really creative. And yes, I went to UPENN for grad school and now I work at...

Re: Am I training too hard?

Awesome advice guys. I agree with many of the comments including the lack of variety in my routine leading to minimal improvement. Also I think, based on the calculations of what I should set my pace at, that I am simply pushing it too hard - possibly this has prevented my muscles from getting stron...

Re: Am I training too hard?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and advice. I continue to be amazed at the wealth of information located on this forum. Yesterday I completed a 30-minute "all-in-one" session and felt pretty good. As a previous post had suggested I used the first five minutes as a warm-up and in similar fashion use...

Re: Am I training too hard?

Thanks very much for you comments. I imagine that I may be over training and I am certain that I am growing bored with repeating 5000m around 5-6 times per week. As far as the time I have to devote to my workout routine it remains slightly variable. In this regard, I have about 25-30 minutes a day d...

Am I training too hard?

I have been erging for a year or so at a steady 5-6 sessions per week. I usually row 250m sprint, 5000m set, and then 250m sprint. Then I complete a short cool down until my heart rate slows to around 135bpm. However, lately my times are slowing and I feel a lack of power. I have never had times lik...

Re: The TimbukTOO/TIMBUK2 Team Room SEASON 2010

Hey Everyone, I hope this short post finds you doing well as you rack up those march meters! I am relatively new to the world of indoor rowing and the March Madness challenge is also a first. Much to my surprise I actually was selected as the 3/10 winner! Just wanted to say thanks to all those who k...

I would like to join team Timbuktoo, but the team is not listed under the "join a team" section on the concept2 logbook site. Is the team still open for new members? If so would someone be so kind as to offer me a little help in joining the team.

Thanks in advance!
