Curved handle?
Is a curved handle available for the Model D? The straight position is not good for arthritic hands. Alternately, does someone have DIY ideas for a handle with a sweep similar to some bike handlebars but shorter? Thanks.

Re: snow rowing
I just got done with the shoveling. 6 hours. I feel like I'm gonna die. I am soooooo glad I rowed first today. Another 6 inches is expected tonight, so tomorrow looks like more of the same. The next two days are really not going to be fun! (But I can't give up - we are so close to the end!) Tell me...

3 percent
... so, if it's 385,000,000 meters to the moon, Team Luna-Tics has gone approximately one third of the distance? Sorry, your decimal point is one off. We are a little over 3% of the way to the moon. At this rate it would take us nearly 3 years to get there. However, the team has rowed nearly ...

ETA moon
Well, after shoveling snow for two and a half hours (we had 14.5 inches fall overnight) I hurt all over - so no rowing today... Lucky you! We got only 7 inches. Shoveling took about an hour. Monday morning along the river where we paddle in the summer http://idisk.mac.com/main_street/Public/Deschut...

Re: Full Moon
Big, I really like that poem--although I don't actually plan to engage in any of those activities, especially since Baldwinsville is just outside of Syracuse, which we all know is synonymous with snow. I understand. It was -7°F when I got up this morning. Such a beautiful day that I went for a 90-m...

Re: full moon
Full-Moon on the 22nd? Well, I can think of two unique rows we can try on that day... Row 22,000 meters (even if it takes you all day and multiple sessions) Row in the buff (au natural except maybe for gloves) to get that "Full Moon" effect  Well, maybe I'll compromise and row 2200 m w...

Exercise in a nutshell
In reference to good eating habits there may be no better advice than that contained in Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food: "Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly vegetables."
An analogous 7-word summary to exercise might be: "Exercise daily. Don't overdo it. Mostly outside."

Re: half marathon
I just rowed my first half marathon... http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy0065.gif Congrats! Great time! Be sure to add that one to the individual rankings. Other than being more aware of my body in more places than at a 10,000 meter pieces, I notices that about 2/3 of the way through ...

Half way through the month
And I thought 2007 went fast--I can't believe January is half over already! My goal of keeping up with the team's individual average isn't working out, in part thanks to Eric who has rowed 515 km already--good job Eric! If only I could count my distance cross-country skiing which is more tha...

Re: Seat Challenge
For a few days I am setting my sights on shoveling snow off the driveway and sidewalk! After a week the team has rowed roughly 3,165 km. The good news is that we have easily cleared the earth's atmosphere. The bad news is that we are not even a tenth of the way to the geostationary satellites much l...

Well, gee, would you rather have us row or hang out on-line?Kristine Strasburger wrote:It feels like we are talking to a group of ghosts.
I can see that I'm going to have a hard time just keeping up with the team's individual average!

Re: How to order accessories?
I just tried it out on my iMac (10.4.8), using Safari (2.0.4), and had no trouble except that it was very slow, but that was probably because I am using a telephone modem. That's good to know. Unfortunately, Safari 2 requires OS 10.4.x and I'm not in a position to run that. In any case, there is no...

Re: How to order accessories?
what browser are you using? I seem to remember that you may use macs, from the Os thread. I haven't shopped there in a long time, but my memory is that the store doesn't work properly for some browsers. It seems to work for me on this PC now. I get a check box for each item and the option to add th...

How to order accessories?
I have seen several references to ordering things from the website but cannot see how. There is a "Shop Online" page with distributors, product descriptions, and prices but no ordering options except a taunting "Cart Empty." Am I missing something?

Re: The code is already out there.
C2 have been listening. The code is already out there. The V4.04 LogCard Utility, PM3 V97 (or PM4 V14) firmware and Mac OS 10.3 are compatible. The new LogCard util (well the windoze version, I don't have a Mac) includes an automatic firmware updater. Sort of. There is a Catch-22 that requires you ...
