Re: Rowing and Dieting, loose clothes and no weight loss

I hear you buddy, I am same same I had a drastic shake up of my rowing programme two weeks ago and already I am seeing the benefits. There are two battles to overcome: 500m split and varying ones fitness programme. THE 500m SPLIT: I see you have gone from 2:30 to 1:49, while that is very impressive ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Chuffed, after finding an old Interactive programme I filled out I stepped up a gear for today's UT1 and managed to stay at just about 2:00 and 20spm for the entire sessions.

Managed 2k warm up
3 x14r5 UT1 @ 1:59.7/20spm
Cool down 2k

What will be the affects of keeping spm low?

Re: Difference between PM3 and PM5

The PM3 is excellent for personal use The PM5 connects to your phone and so the Concept 2 logbook. Useful. The latter does not have a card slot so when you do a session at a gym it can't be transferred that I have found. The new one also I couldn't work out how to custom the custom list without usin...

2km warm up
2x8ATr5 (1:54:01/500m) 22spm
2km cool down
Drag 137 start 133 at end
Over the past few weeks my 2k warm up and cool down has been steadily dropping. Although I can leisurely cool down I will always be steady on warm up 2:10 135 Drag 20spm

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

2k warm up
2x12r5 UT1 @ 2:02.9 (20spm)
1x10 AT @ 1:57.4 (22spm)
2km cool down
I was wondering why I was almost ready to pass out at the end of the AT session because I checked my 2km time split from 2 weeks ago was also 1:57.4. Perhaps time for another 2km trial soon :-)

Re: Rowers belly

No such thing as ''Rowers Belly''. If your belly is too big then you're eating too much I'm afraid. If you want it to shrink......eat less.....plenty of advice online....good luck with it. / Yep I agree. I thought about rowing the Atlantic to lose weight lol As for drag factor I used to just stick ...

Re: Rowers belly

Doh I was hoping for some agreement - Google "Rowers Belly" and nothing comes up until now ;-) . I needed something to show SWMBO just to get her off the case of the belly ha ha ha. Although rowers belly is: you're fat you start rowing instead of dropping your calories and losing weight you get addi...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Started rowing today with Pete's Plan day 1. Goal is weight loss. Did the 5000m in 23:26. I also do strength training a few times per week with CrossFit. For weight loss I can't bang home Shaun T Insanity enough (the 45/56/58min). Workouts (month 2) weight loss through reduced eating is brilliant. ...
