Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Hello, I just joined this team and was wondering if someone could give me some tips. I started rowing just over a year ago, and did just under 2.5 million meters. I love rowing and my times fell quickly over the first 6 months, but have become really stagnant since then. I scoured the internet and p...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I did the half marathon today, pretty wiped out, but I got a PB so I am happy. I don't know how anyone does a full marathon, 3 hours would make it so I couldn't walk when I was done.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I got 1.5 mm, considering the first stroke I pulled in my life was Sep 16th, I am pretty happy. I appreciate all the help and tips I got from the other team members. I don't know if I can get to Gary Weaver level, but I am shooting for 2.5 mm next year since I will have the whole year to get it.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I got my free T-shirt for 1 million! Now only 4 million more to go for my next free item :o I was wondering if anyone on here has ever used the ski erg? It looks like it would be a good compliment to the rower, as it uses more upper body while the rower uses more lower body. Just been looking at add...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Just have a question for people who have rowed a 1/2 marathon, what stroke rate do you usually pull at? I normally pull most of my distances at a drag factor of 135, maybe slightly lower for above 10k, not sure if that is good or bad practice, just what I have done.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Thanks for the info, I have watched a ton of videos to try and get my technique much like you are saying, though I should probably video myself to see where I have bad habits. You did mention one thing that i forgot to post about last time. On the Concept2 website it has a link for training partners...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
New guy again :) I only have seen Jim C's impressive numbers, but I am sure the others have great numbers too. I am wondering what stroke rate people use for long distance rows (generally 7.5k an d higher). When i row 2k I row around 28-29 spm, then start creeping it up arond. Maybe 1-2 strokes lowe...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Thanks for the tips, I will try without the straps on my distance pulls the next few days to see if it helps. I did wuss out and bought a rowing pad from Amazon that should arrive Friday, but maybe I will save that for whenever I get the courage to try a 1/2 or full marathon :) Brick1011, what do yo...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Wow, getting all my meters for the last two months at once makes it seem like I am a maniacal rower :D Appreciate everyone's comments since I am so new to rowing, so I have another newbie questions. Whenever I row anything over 30 minutes, my feet will start to go numb and my butt starts hurting a l...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Thanks for all your help coneljm, I think I got it now. I changed my affiliation, Angela emailed me also. I replied to her but it appears to just sit in my outbox, not sure if it takes awhile for the email to be sent? Your times are impressive, hopefully at some point I can approach those. Have you ...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I guess I don't understand. I log everything with my erg app and sync to the concept2 logbook. Looking through these posts I see lots of entries like the following; 4 posted meters on Saturday Warren F 7,500 Angela P 7,454 Ken C 7,331 Adam M 6,000 How are these meters showing up in the posts is what...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
This is a stupid question I am sure, but how do we post meters to the team room? I just joined a team for the first time and am not sure how you do that?

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I just joined the team, have only been rowing for about 6-7 weeks. I have been rowing 5-6 days a week, sometimes twice a day (2-3 days a week). My times have been improving and I have watched a lot of videos to improve my technique and get tips. I was just wondering if someone could give me directio...
