Looks like Clarksville is home to several colleges and universities...

That's why we are here. My better half starts her new job teaching at Austin Peay University in the fall!!

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

Kona2 Thanks for the warm welcome after an extended absence. Our rower has been in a storage locker for many months and it feels good to get back in the saddle. Now that our move is behind us and we are getting comfortable in our new Tennessee home I should be able to add some meters to the cause. T...

Thanks for all the congratulations. Started the season out right with a lot of meters. A lot easier after I retired. Now that I have returned to school time is at a premium again. But it sure beats working.

Re: New owner of Concept2_Where do I leave the handle?

From the manual:
NOTE: It is best to let the handle rest against
the fan cage rather than in the handle hooks
when the machine is not in constant use. (i.e.
overnight, between workouts). This will prolong
the life of the shock cord.

Re: Beta blocker & Heart Rate Monitor

I think that she should forget the HRM and the Max. HR formula and just focus on what her body is telling her. Beta blockers change the rules.

Just a humble opinion from someone who has gone through it.

Dylan a very handsome Collie ! I'd never heard of a tri rough collie before!
Think of the original Lassie in the early movies. Watch "Lassie Come Home" if you have a chance! A real tear-jerker.

Re: Regular Health Check Suprise

Best of luck. Remember that slow and steady wins the race. If you try and rush things you will probably injure yourself and set yourself back. It took about eight months for me to fully recover but am healthier, fitter, and happier now than ever. :P

Re: Best cardio exercise

It depends on your health, age, and prior conditioning. Running may not be suitable for someone who is overweight and has bad knees. A lot of factors come into play here.

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

Hey Loonies, I signed up for the fall challenge yesterday but found out I can't rowing until Oct 14. I check that today with the cardiac surgeon. Maybe I can smooth in a couple of hundred meters on the 14th and 15th. It won't be up to my normal contribution, but as someone said once, all meters cou...
