Technique

Does it really matter about the rpms, stroke rate, and all that if my heart rate is in the target zone? I was reading some posts thinking I must be a real mess on the machine:-) I am not sure what it all means (rpm and such) but my HR gets to where I want it and it stays there throughout my workout....
