Depends what you mean by blisters - I still get 'pulled skin' on the second joint of my fingers after 50k/week for around 4 years - I find that the 'grip master hand pads' that C2 sell actually work very well for that despite the ridiculous name.

Good effort - might be a couple more seconds to take off your 1k now . . . :)

Citroen did a 30r20 at 1:55.9 - I've done a 6:55.6 2k and I couldn't break 2:00.4 for a 30r20 to save my life - is very hard to generalise.

Yikes! We have 2k pbs with .1 second of each other - how on *earth* can you do a >16k hour!? Your 60 minute pace is faster than my 5k pace!

I have a suspicion we are rather different shapes . . .

Fair enough, on with the stm3 it is then. All pbs <60 mins done with a warm-up. I would guess that the drop-off is rapid from 500m to 1k simply because my fairly reasonable anaerobic strength, which probably helps me at least slightly in the 500, very rapidly becomes useless at distances greater tha...

Paces from 500m to 60 minutes are all pretty well tested, I only rarely do anything outside these bounds. 500 1:29.4 39 or 40 (educated guess at rate since 300 was at 42) 1000 1:38.4 36 2000 1:43.9 32 5000 1:52.4 30 10000 1:55.9 27 15248 1:58.1 26 21097 2:01.9 24 (not a strong pb as I haven't done i...

These are my lifetime pbs (though those three probably done within about 4 months of each other). I've been at the same level (to within a second of pace) for at least a couple of years, so I would say they're quite representative of my ability. If you look at my paces for different distances relati...

What if the drop from 2k to 10k is as expected, but the 5k is slow? Eg, my 2k 5k 10k is 1:43.9, 1:52.4, 1:55.9, and this is not from lack of trying on the 5k!
