They have gone Torx now but the old Allen key is 5/32 and the bolts are like 1/4" UNC.

I have a Bondhus 5/32 and it fits perfectly.

There is nothing metric on the whole rower except the 17mm flywheel bearings.
Thanks!

Re: Model 3 front leg assembly bolts - allen wrench size?

Not sure what you mean by "Model 3" @Jerg? If its the latest Rowerg then the manual says it will be a T27 which I think is torx not allen. The Model C legs used allen bolts and the key was provided with the erg. You could try emailing info@concept2.com to get the size. Woops! Meant Model C. Thanks ...

Model C front leg assembly bolts - allen wrench size?

Does anyone happen to know the size of the allen wrench for the bolts that hold the two front legs together and attach them to the frame?

Re: Disassemble for transport (buying used)

One size: T27: https://shop.concept2.com/parts/193-t27-6-lobe-driver.html?search_query=2230&results=6 Thanks! Picked up a RowErg today. For anyone who searches this topic and finds this thread, while blue loctite is used on the screws, a 3/8" drive T27 torx socket will get these loose without any h...

Re: Disassemble for transport (buying used)

Picking up a newer Model D tomorrow. Can someone please confirm the size of the Torx screws used to secure the fan assembly legs? The size will probably be written on the Torx driver that came with C2.

Model C with PM5 - value?

What do you estimate for fair value of a Model C with PM5 (no other upgrades)? Lifetime meters unknown. Good condition.

If you buy an earlier model it has allen key heads not torx.

Mine is a 2004 D and has the allen key heads.
Good to know, thank you!

Re: Disassemble for transport (buying used)

I guess you used a socket with a torx head? Maybe I'll bring my heat gun when I go to buy one, just in case. Yes, the wrench allowed to me to apply much more force while pushing down on the socket. I don't think heat is needed, blue Loctite (243) allows disassembly with hand tools. Green Loctite (2...

I recently removed the front leg to relocate the rower.
The srcews had threadlock, I couldn't remove them with
the C2 torx driver and had to use a ratchet wrench.

Re: Disassemble for transport (buying used)

I can't speak for older models, but the RowErg is all torx, no loctite. The legs can come off (see the assembly manual: https://www.concept2.com/service/indoor-rowers/model-d/assembly). Also, please remember you can disconnect the rail from the flywheel.... The part number for the Row Erg shows the...

Disassemble for transport (buying used)

I'm looking to get back into indoor rowing. Used to have a C2, but can't remember exactly how the front leg is fastened. Basically I'm looking to buy a used Model C/D/E, and to fit into my 4 door sedan, I may need to remove the front leg, via one of the following: 1. Remove the leg at both attachmen...

Re: Form check

Shins coming to plumb @ catch and getting more length. From recovery arms away looks strong. Work on getting body lean also complete or nearly so before knees break upward. This won't feel natural but necessary to get trunk and back stable and braced at catch prior to leg push. After three yrs. I'm...

Re: Form check

Updated video after incorporating some of the suggestions. I moved the footstretchers down one notch, so I'm on the last notch now. I'm getting quite a bit farther up the slide, and I'm delaying the arm pull a little bit, so the jerkiness of the chain is now mostly gone. Going at a UT2 pace here, so...

Re: Drive length in ErgData

Thanks for the feedback. When I'm not paying attention to delaying the arms, I'll drop into the low 90s on drive length. When I am paying attention, it's usually in the 110-120 range. You were absolutely correct about my bringing in arms too early on the drive. Now that I'm looking at the drive leng...

Drive length in ErgData

Does anyone watch this when rowing? I noticed that if I think "legs, hips, arms", I get a longer drive length. Just having to run those words through my head makes me wait on the arm pull longer (feels like forever since my instinct is to tense the arms and start pulling right away). Anyway, drive l...
