Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
I'm back from the US now and just about over jetlag....not feeling very energetic right now so I may just go back a couple of weeks in the plan and go from there. What's frustrating though is that I'm back out to the US for 28 days from the 1st Nov so I'm really hoping that the hotel has a rower or ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Thanks iain
2:30 really does feel easy - I was hardly sweating until I went for it abit more in the last 500m....also I haven't been warming up before a row so maybe I should also start incorporating 5 min of easy rowing before I start the session

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
On week 8 now but I did the intervals first (on Monday)as I wasn't feeling up for the longer row.... yesterday was 8.1 and I really just went really easy... probably a bit too easy so I added a few extra metres and also had a small session on the bikeerg too. I'm finding when I go to 2:15/500 I feel...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Session 8.1 - 4x1500/3min rest Felt good today and I'm enjoying the intervals much more than the longer rows right now.....can seem to keep the energy up once I get to around 2k on the longer ones but I can go hard (for me!) on the intervals I'm going to the US for a week from Sunday....so really ho...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
I'm sure my head is part of it....but I have been finding 2:15 pace hard to maintain and just not feeling really weak while doing it I'm sure it is just a phase, I really enjoyed today's intervals and especially the last 500, I've not done that before and was able to just row at 1:50 pace for the en...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
The thing that I like about my last 500m is that this was essentially the pace I held all the way through, not just a blast in the last hundred
I hear you regards the longer pieces, I just have seemed to hit a bit of a backwards step in terms of how much pace I can maintain and push

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Wk5 day3 7000m Back on the rower now as my finger feels better....I had absolutely no energy, I was actually thinking of stopping in the first 1k as I felt that weak but I pushed through. I stopped a couple of times for 15 seconds to mop my brow and have some water. Not a good row today Time Meters ...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Wk5 day 2 done on the bike today....then tested my finger with alittle row. Felt okish, but rowing is definitely harder after using the bike
Finger should be good for the 2nd 7k of rowing tomorrow or sat

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
So today was my BPP Wk5 D1....but as my finger is stopping me rowing I did 14k on the bikeerg.
My butt needs to get used to that seat as it was not comfortable at all. Hopefully my finger will be ok to let me row the next 7k in a couple of days

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Hi All during my longer row the other day due to my fingers hurting due to blisters starting, I had the handle 'longer' in my fingers...later on I started to get pain in my ring finger, it has now started to swell up and I think I may have stretched the ligaments or caused some soft tissue damage as...

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Hi All No need to do a BPP workout today...so just went to see how a 15k and or 1 hour row would go. Went out very slowly and just tried to keep a pace that kept me sweaty but not dripping. I only stopped as my finger skin was starting to get quite painful and my left buttock was getting tight Shoul...
