I quite agree. There is an abundance of research that shows that exercise elevates your mood. You read a lot about superfoods for your body, and exercise is a superfood for your brain. When you exercise, your body releases serotonin, a hormone that elevates your mood. This creates the "runners high"...

Sleep is important - fit or not. I have had sleep issues most of my life, and have found that when I am exercising regularly I sleep much better. I fall asleep quicker, and stay asleep through the night. I haven't read much about this, so I don't have any studies to base it on. Just personal experie...
