2k help!!,

I did a 2k recently and received 7:56 . I hadn't trained alot in week before due to illness , but it was the first time I broke 8. I was expecting to do alot better though , as I did a 20 minerg test at 2:07 rate 24 a month before . I know I can do better but I just seem to never reflect it on the 2...

OP stated that she did the 8:07 in March but is back in training for 1 week before the 20min-test and 4-weeks total. She also stated that she has only 4 weeks before the 2k-TT. As a rule of thumb pace decreases by around 5sec for every doubling of the distance. That would calculate roughly to 6sec ...

Im training 6 days a week , and 2 of those days twice a day. Its about 3 erg sessions( 3x5ks , 2x8ks ) gym/pt work and water work .

I'll leave it for others to point out that it is nigh near impossible to GAIN weight when in a Calorie deficit. you can gain muscle while losing fat - this is true. it is also quite difficult although it has been done. so what you are doing is not working - you can't gain weight and have it be musc...

It is inevitable that when doing a 2k test , the lactic acid will cause an extreme amount of pain , but you do you manage/minimize it? Body fat . I know im gaining muscle also but i want to be as lean as possible . I gained a pound this week and was on a very clean diet. I just dont know what im doing so wrong.
