You will get no effect holding the lead whilst the handle is being pulled. The operating voltage is very low, probably less than 10 volts. The spark plug voltage of a petrol engine is typically 35,000 volts, hence the shock! A detectable low voltage can be assessed by either a digital volt meter or ...

Thank you NHRower. There is nothing paltry in ANY exercise. It is a state of mind that sees benefit in increased fitness. Not everyone can dedicate as much time as me to rowing, 6 months ago I would never have believed that I would. I began by buying an almost new model E off Ebay and setting it up ...

Further to my previous post, I use the toes of the sock on the handle and the legs as a wrist band. The wrist band helps reduce dripping onto the mat as well as any run down to the hand. If you observe heartrate during a know work level, and see that it is higher than normal, take it as a sign that all is not well with your body and thus advisable to take it easier. I recently came down ...

Still rowing my way back to Vermont by way of a circuitous route. Now in Ohio having left Toledo yesterday. Have put in 2 days of 50+k (Yesterday in 4hrs) felt really strong, but taking it easier today in order to recover. My aim is to row a week of consecutive 50k's, but guess I shall have to pace ...

Cheezers
Hi fellow cheezers, I have rowed, walked and cycled to Las Vegas, so decided to return by an other route, just posting my rowing hours. I headed north on Interstate 15 and paused at Parowan to catch my breath after falling to a summer cold. Found that if I rowed my nose stopped running (although eve...
