Re: KREW seems promising for Android

The Krew app now supports pm3/4 via usb although there are issues if you are have a log card inserted (fine with USB)
The app itself seems good, developers have a facebook page and respond quickly to questions etc.

Re: Forum Flyers

I am rowing a bit but have held off joining as I'm very unlikely to complete every month. If you can't find anyone I would be happy to join again.

Re: How a C2 actually measures energy expenditure

If you have access to the ergs they used have a quick look in the memory. Certainly on a pm5 it will show stroke rate and calories generated for the one minute row.

4 fingers here in a hook shape no grip as such. To be honest I haven't a clue what happens to my thumb's apart from they don't do anything.

Re: 7 Weeks to Go

Excellent advice from Henry. Especially the pacing, going in knowing how you are going to pace the 2k particularly the start is essential. I picked up three places in the last 500m of my race not by going faster but by holding my pace while others faded after pulling sub 1:45 opening 500's compared ...

Re: Forum Flyers

In 2016 I did four rounds of the Pete plan on the run up to BRIC. For me that was too much, and at the BRIC I was 6 seconds down on my pb a month before. In 2017 I tended to do 45 minutes at 2:07 three or four times a week along with various c2ct etc, but very little does work. A month before i impr...

Re: Targets 2018

Happy New Year everyone. I don't have specific targets apart from one that won't be mentioned.... However one target is I am going to try some new training. My gym run a fitness class which has a specific rowing element. It's not at my local branch so will involve more travel but I will give it a go...

Re: New member just completed first 5000m

I often row at a gym and apart from myself I only see one or two 5k's a month. I don't remember anyone apart from me rowing further than that. Oh and on the erg I normally use the average pace is around 2:30/500 which as I put half the meters on it around 2:06 shows most people row very slowly.... S...

PM5 has built in Bluetooth and ANT+ so no need for that stick.
The PM4 only has ANT+

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Last training of the year, and I had run out of excuses to not do a HM. (I am a member of a FB group for LWT's that run a different challenge every month and December is a HM) So a HM was done this morning, wanted to get under 90 minutes, so had to beat 2:08 pace. Happy with a 1:28:26.9 so well unde...

Re: Ergdata, LG Nexus 5X and Wahoo Tickr

If you are using a pm5 them I find connecting the wahoo first to the pm5 via ant+ and then connecting erg data to my android phone works perfectly every time.
