Thanks for quick reply, I am using a computer, it is the actual setting up a race in the software, I just can't seem to find an option in the menus to add a pace boat, I know it is there someplace. don't you just set a required pace as part of the session, then a pace boat appears going that speed....

Pace boats are a PM3/PM4 feature. You'll need to use your PC/laptop for a pace boat display with a PM2+. I know e-row is pretty old, but that was a suprisingly stupid answer from you.
