There is a tab to join a new member and you nominate the Forum Flyers as you club. It normally requires you going in a second time to get it all done... Best of luck and welcome
Looking forward to the camaraderie.

Man. Where do you set the damper to get that much distance out of that stroke rate (I know damper isn't really relevant, but the curious want to know. Thanks)?

Re: Low back pain and concept2 rower (SkiErg better?)
Perhaps I am misunderstanding this point (newb here), but the C2 'how to row' video says the recovery is 2x as long as the drive. By 'work' did you mean the drive?grahamcawood wrote: 3.Ratio of recovery to work 1:1 always. Not less than 23 s.p.m.

Re: Increasing aerobic capacity
Slow down. I can't imagine rowing at that pace, and I've been at it 3.5 months (also started extremely out of shape, and I'm a bit older than you are). What I've gleaned is focus on your form for the first 4-6 months; row at a comfortable 'carry on a conversation' pace and row for longer and longer ...

Not sure who can help, but the link connected to individual challenges isn't working:

Lifetime / Season Meters
I've read about the distinction and was pretty sure I understood.
I began rowing in January and a new season will begin May 1.
So why aren't my lifetime and season meters the same at this point?

Re: I Donated Blood and Now I Suck!
I would push the monitor arm back so you can not see the screen and just row at a comfortable pace for a good duration of time. Focus on technique and just try and get in some good time on the ergo. Rowing to a heart rate cap can also work as you then won't push too hard. Changing to calories rathe...

Re: I Donated Blood and Now I Suck!
Thanks so much, Valgozi. I'm learning and just doing this for fitness, but I was starting to get a bit discouraged. Hearing about your experience was very helpful, and now I'll know what to expect each time I donate blood. Thanks again.

Duck's In A Row: Team Room??
Hi Ducks - wondering why there's no DIAR Team Room in the Teams section of the forum?
Are the Ducks an inactive team?
