Model D Footstraps Come Loose

I am male heavy weight doing 10K. Both straps loosen up after about 10 minutes to where I have to lean down and pull them tight. Has anyone had this problem? Has anyone modified the strap? Does a Velcro strap work?

I take the time to knot the strap now, but that is not a good solution.

2k 6:59.4 - I row an average of 4 times a week at 10k. Only row a 2k for time. This pace was torture :shock: Never pushed myself so hard. I will try again in a couple of months.

I like the 10k. It is long enough to allow your mind to really work on you. That might make competition interesting. A lot can happen in 35-37 minutes.
