Thanks all. Actually I forget to monitor how fast I was going down. I guess I was busy drinking water and using a towel. But i remember it was higher then normal at start of my cooldown row. In the end it was quit normal. My best 10K is a fourteen old days 37:48.9. My best low pull is only 1:28. It ...

Is exercising at max heartrate dangerous?
I rowed my best ever 2k yesterday. 6:47.6 :D (splitt 1:42,7 1:42,3 1:41,7 1:40,9 ) . I have tested my heartrate earlier on the rower and it’s around 191. The last 500m of the 2k was constant at 190 or more. I wonder, or to be honest my wife wonder if it's is dangerous to exercise at that intensity l...

Oh yes it's only 6 seconds. On the other side take a look at this seconds to watt table at here As you can see you have to apply lot of more power to bring the time down to 1.30. On the other side since you had a weight training session just before you had the test, maybe you already are able...

Thanks again everybody. Just to clear one thing I row without slides. I will consider them in the future, and the coreperform, the Cbreeze and and….. :D It looks also like Xeno is 4 cm shorter than me. I found out that he is 190 cm. I guess it means something when the spm is 34-36. Xeno: I really li...

Thanks for your post. When I row with Xeno on his dvd’s I try to follow his movements. In the beginning it was quit choking to see how fast his drive is. Since I only row alone at home this have helped me a lot. On this dvd I had to put the damper at the lowest setting to follow him. But at strokera...

I loose much power at higher stroke rates
When I row at higher stroke rates (over 32) I feel I loose a lot of power. Here is a few minutes from Xeno’s DVD “interactive training with higher stroke rates”. http://www.mulebakken.net/div/spm.png The plot is smoothed so it shows lower value than it actually is, but you get the idea. I think the ...

Sorry I mixed that software.
I have tested the old e-row under linux and it works well, but I think its pm2+ only. I don’t use it either. If I use any software I use pm2dand gnuplot. Here is a sample output from gnuplot.

Looks like my knowledge is a little outdated  . I just tested to access my usb flash memory from a wine installed image editor. It works nicely. After some googling it looks like wine can use an usb device, if it is supported by the operating system. Anyway, I’m still interested in knowing how...

I have tried to install it but never managed to do so because it asks for dotnet. What do you do to install it? What versions? I guess you also know that wine does not support usb? I have a pm2+ with a serial interface so I would really like to test it. If rowpro is based on dotnet (since it asks fo...

Olaf Tufte writes in his blog that he tested 15:15 on 5000m the 15th February.
He had done a lactate test the day before so he was a little skeptical before he started. After some bad rowing around 3000m, his couch yelled at him, and he rowed the last 1000m in 2.57.

Sorry for posting in the womens section, but this was very interesting. I cheeked out a little more about the topic, found a carton of a runner with a goal for 10.000m here.
Another nice site is this.
