Re: RowPro Too Unreliable to Buy

So, I just stay with the C2 PM. Yep that's the way I feel. If I want to screw around with the computer, I'll screw around with the computer. But when I want to exercise, I don't want to spend a lot of time trying to get some crappy software working right... I just want to exercise. RowPro gets in t...

Michael, great that you started rowing. If you find a flight give me a call and we can do a training session with Video of your rowing, it will be great. Also the other tool is the indoor rowing Dvds that I have for sale. You can find them either on EBAY or directly through my website. Thank you fo...

You can save custom sessions - I do it all the time for my Interactive Program workouts. Under session setup there is a custom session button that allows you to do this. Maybe that feature is not available in the test version... It's there. You can save custom sessions, and you can recall and run t...

As for something that is "better". Good luck and perhaps you can find it but for free, well that is just silly. Who is going to want to program and support a detailed, graphics intensive program for free? I don't expect it to be free. Almost nothing that runs on Windows is. However, you are wrong a...

Re: good software for free

I've been thinking of posting on the Ubundu forums about rowing software. Perhaps someone there would have the urge to develop something for the rowing machine. What do you think of this? Go for it. I don't know how good the API support for the PM3/PM4 is, and that is what will be needed by any Lin...

I don't know about the Sports Instruments one, but the receiver C2 sells isn't even made by Polar, it's made by Acumen... so at least some other transmitters (Acumen, for instance) should work with it.

Have you used RP successfully offline on several occasions, or have you always had problems? I've been doing the tryout for about a week. At least 1/2 the time it has some kind of problem. I'm tired of screwing with it. If they want $99 for it, they better get the warts out of it. Right now, it jus...

Re: RowPro Too Unreliable to Buy

Try this Michael: CONTROL CENTER > USER SETTINGS > AUTO ADVANCE > (seconds box - far left middle) Set for a minimum of one second - it will automatically roll over to the next part of any row you plug in with a pause of how many seconds you select. I will look at that, but I guess I didn't make mys...

RowPro Too Unreliable to Buy

I've been trying out RowPro (latest version downloaded from their site) for the past week, and it pretty much leaves me cold. I find the onscreen 3D stuff to be pretty lame (sometimes the guy just stops, sometimes he rows right off the screen), and the software is unreliable. For instance, this morn...

Can anyone vouch for the quality of these videos? Xeno, it'd be awesome if you could share some short clips from the videos (like on Youtube or something) so that we could get a small taste of what's on the DVDs... I kind of felt the same way, but Xeno and his DVDs seem so universally admired here,...

Widgeon, you were right about the amount of knee bend I was using at the catch. My shins had gone way past vertical when I carefully looked at it this morning. It definitely feels better in my hips to not go past vertical, or even less than that, thanks. I ordered three of the Xeno DVDs today, hopef...

c2billp, Assembling the legs incorrectly is not a huge sin, but actually having it done both ways is a little more difficult to excuse. She's a very rich woman, and I doubt she assembled that erg herself. The other erg that was there was probably brought in by that woman who was exercising with her...
