Re: Hit my million!
Wow! I've have been rowing on mine for 2 years and I haven't hit the million meter mark yet, getting very close but 2 month & 7 months time. Thats awesome. I do have a Yowza Miami elliptical,a Nordictrack Plus skier a Soloflex and a Total gym which is not being used at this time. I like to rotate th...

Re: newby hi everyone
My job is so demanding as I'm on call 24/7 so whenever I can Im on my rower mostly during the winter months as golfing & mountain biking are my other hobbies come this spring/summer. I think for anyone in their 60's & doing 3000 meters in 30 min is pretty fantastic. I'm lucky to do 3 miles in that t...

Re: Is a c2 rower needed for the average person?
I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a rower at 1st. After reading several reviews it was a no brainer that it had to be a C2. This has to be one of the best investments I've ever made when it comes to my health. I can't say it is my favorite type of exercise but it works and I feel it giving me that to...

Re: my private gym.do i need a concept2?
Im no way a gym rat either especially being 60 years young but I have disciplined myself to stick with using both my C2 model E for 30 min 4-5 days a day plus I use my Yowza Elliptical Miami model for 30 min too. I would do it more but I spend 2-3 days a week gone because of my demanding job. I can'...

Rowing vs Elliptical or both
I know the the debate has been settled as I've read all the websites but now there is an Elliptical that works your core muscles like no other Elliptical. It's called the YOWZA Miami and I was so impressed with all of the reviews and videos that this has caught my attention that I just place an orde...

Re: Buy local vs Concept2 site vs Amazon
I'd like to chime in here. Regards of where you buy your erg, local, Amazon or C2, remember the erg was built by C2. And if you ever need anything, advice, replacement parts, how-tos, etc., C2 has a great customer support system. And reasonably fast shipping if needed. Unlike some software companie...

Re: First Day Rower
I have had mine for 4 days now as I can remember the day it arrived, I was so excited when that brown truck showed up in my driveway. I'm not out breaking any records as I'm 60 years old and very new to rowing but I absolutely love this machine. In the 4 days I have rowed over 37,000 meters which is...

Re: Had to do it, couldn't put it off any longer
The big advantage of the C2 erg is in the numbers. It's worth knowing what they mean so that we can calibrate and record our work in real terms. Watts tell us how much power we are generating; Watts x Hours how much work we've done; Watts/Rating how we did it. Yes I see what you mean this is all ne...

Re: Had to do it, couldn't put it off any longer
Wow! only took 3 days for my C2E to arrive as I was so excited. Wasn't sure if I was going to have time to put it together or even get a workout on it as I'm waiting for the phone to ring calling me to work. I hate being on call buy Hey it pays the bills. Anyhow maybe a good 45 minutes un boxing it ...

Re: Why did you start using a rower--specifically, the C2?
Well for me it has been 12 plus years since I last rowed. I have been using other exercise equipment through many years as I would rather exercise at home. I heard so many health benefits about rowing and read tons of great reviews about the C2 that I thought better late than never. Treadmills don't...

Re: Another one on the weight loss train (or boat?)
It's amazing to hear so many success stories about people loosing weight and how they done it. I'm new to rowing as tomorrow my C2 model E will be here. Being 60 has made it tough for me as I got up to 211.2 and just 5'9" in height. I have always been active except for my job which is very demanding...

Really can't go wrong with either but I did go with the model E because of the height difference. Mine should be here tomorrow.

Re: Had to do it, couldn't put it off any longer
Well I went ahead and pulled the trigger. It really was not that hard of a decision to make. The most important thing for me was when reading all the reviews as to how everyone love's their C2 and how there are so many benefits from rowing that I never knew existed. 1st of all as soon as the compan...

Re: Had to do it, couldn't put it off any longer
Welcome to the "club", Tip. I've owned my Model D since 11/2011, but have put more meters on it since 11/2015 than all previous years combined. It really is a great piece of equipment. By the way, you might want to edit your "Signature" that shows up at the bottom of your posts now that your userna...
