Re: Endurance erging - A place to discuss 42, 50, 100k upwards.
I am very happy with my slides. I have had mild knee problems for a long time, nothing bad, could run a half marathon without any problems, after that it becomes critical. Rowing on the Static Erg is no problem - not even a half marathon. It's at a full marathon that the problems start. Not with the...

Re: Rowpro 4.1, multiple regular PC users, no joy
Interesting conversation. Especially this immersive Row Game sounds not boring. Is it really a game ? This gambling thing out of bits and bytes with an addictive component ? Or is it just a training simulation. Row Pro is or was a great training simulation and years ahead of zwift. Once upon a time....

Re: Zwift racing
If someone sits on a bike and wants to win a virtual bike race to compare himself - then I can understand if this one is outraged if others - in a race mind!- are cheating . But if someone is not on a bike, but on a rowing machine - so it is, do what you want - from the beginning a some kind of a ch...

Re: Row/ski on Zwift
I know the problem. It's not worth throwing away old smartphones. I do not have this problem with my Galaxy S7. I have more frequent connection problems with my Galaxy S10. I don't know why. The Galaxy S5 is also quite stable. I find Carl's statements about sprinting interesting - because I am also ...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Yes, the vote was against the use of slides. My personal view, in the interests of inclusivity, is that there should be exemptions for medical or other physical problems. Nobody who is going to feature in the top twenty, let's say, individuals on the leaderboard or occupy a top boat should use slid...

Re: Rowers with a 400 FTP on the bike
Comparisons between the two sports are nifty, and I've wasted a huge amount of time and words blabbing on about it in this post. In the end, I don't think it matters much. I have always called these comparative numbers "volatile".... as said...too many variables are involved to find common ground. ...

Re: Zwift and the power conversion for the Erg.
I also have written on the FS Page a small summary about rowing on Zwift. https://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3779 The Powerdata values changes - they are volatile - even if just been viewed out of perspective of one sport - cycling only - if compared to another sport things ...

Re: Rowing in Zwift (high quality software) who's interested?
PM5-via BT to rowedbiker- via BT to Zwift PM5- via USB cable to ergdata my way... Just rows are the best way to handle it. You can also create a specific workout pm5 based: distance or duration or interval - but you have to keep in mind that the avatar or your records on trainerroad will be interrup...

Re: Why did you stop using RowPro ?
Hello, i am frequently active in the FS Forum, but sometimes i have a look around here, and when it comes to apps i am feeling qualified to share my experiences. I started rowing with rowpro end of 2013, joined some 30min workouts or did it alone. After a little pause i restarted indoor rowing 2016....

Re: LiveRowing iOS App: Support Thread
yes i did this in both gyms, and i didnt ask, you should have seen the faces of the gym crew observing me what a hell i am doing with the ergs...but for me it is most important: quick, easy and stable...and this works best with less software in gym: just the stick...and hope in future with my galaxy...

Re: LiveRowing iOS App: Support Thread
I use both softwares row pro and liverowing, live rowing with a iphone4s, and row pro 4.3 with windows 10 10.1netbook I tried both in two gyms, wrote a detailed summary on the freespirits homepage, I had troubles with the connection, but it wasnt my fault- the pm5 had the old firmware, the point is ...
