Wearable technology

What if any, are you using to track your rowing? I’ve been looking at all the technology out there, and wonder if there is a watch, or platform that is really good for rowers? Erging and on the water if poss, but mainly on water.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - the alternative home

Hi I wish to join the ctc, as I have tried to add a rower and a time, I tried to set a new password but I obviously have to do something more than that, ie get a password, how do I do that?

Thanks in advance David

The greatest track to Erg to?!?

Evening All I was on the rower tonight and a song came on the radio: She sells sanctuary by the Cult. And my /500m dropped by 0:04 for the duration of the song, what a tune to row to! Just wondered if anyone had any other tunes they loved to come on whilst they are erging so we could maybe put an ul...

Re: 1,000,000 meter club

Congratulations! 1 Mm is definitely a lot of meters, and you did it in a nice number of days. It is a great exercise, and I find setting goals like that for myself are good motivation. You are already seeing the benefits of losing some weight, and generally improved health. Motivation can be tricky...

Re: 1,000,000 meter club

Shameless boasting: I just reached my first million meters today in just less than 6 months! It's a feat I'm extremely proud of having never rowed a day before Oct 27, 2015. I reached the goal rowing a 10k today. I was going for a pb but burned out a little too fast and came up short by 8 seconds. ...

Re: Marathon?? Anyone attempting it.

DONE not I much of a hurry to do it again 3:12:29, reasonably happy,

Had to stand about 4 times, cos my back side was killing me. But managed to do the last 4km in under 16mins so I guess I had some more in the tank... Either way I'm pleased to have done it.

Thanks for all your advise

Re: Marathon?? Anyone attempting it.

Thanks for all the response. In terms of training, I've done 2 HMs and 4 1hr sessions, completed the HM in 1:27, but did take a lengthy break. I think my best bet is definitely to get another 2 of them in before the attempt. I would like to set a time but I think I'd just end up grinning and bearing...

Marathon?? Anyone attempting it.

I'm relatively new to this sport. Got a model d just before Christmas done just over 500k on it, thinking of attempting the full marathon in May. Anyone else attempting it for the first time, or done it before and have any tips?

Am I biting off more than I can chew?

i think you are right, want to try to do a marathon in the next couple of months, maybe something like braveheart or gladiator might keep me going for the 26 miles.....

Re: "New" to rowing and just got a Concept2 D

How's it going.

Noticed this post and it relates to me a bit...

Got the model d in black in December

Are you keeping up to it?

I'm on a mission to do 1,000,000m before June, currently on 235,000 and finding it a bit tough but rewarding.

Are you getting on ok?

Motivate me to do 10k tonight

Hi All

Bought a rower just before Christmas and I've set myself a target of 1,000,000m before my 35th birthday on June 12th....

I'm up to 225,000

However I seem to be loosing the motivation, need to get back on it...

HELP!

(Thanks in advance)
