In the way of follow up . . .
Pat: Dena responded to my e-mail very promptly, and in outstanding fashion. So, many thanks to you for passing along her contact information.
Everyone: I'm happy to say that the C2 Kids' Distance Clubs are indeed alive and well.

Same here, as I already posted elsewhere. Wrote KC back in April regarding the Kids' Distance Award, and heard nothing. Followed up twice since with C2 customer support, and again heard nothing but silence from the company. Not at all what I expected, given their reputation. I could accept their dro...

Kids can definitely erg. My littlest actually has the most meters of the 3 - he has over 90K lifetime and has enjoyed collecting the childrens' meter club pins. You can file for those on the same form that you file for your own million meter club. Full info is here: http://www.concept2.com/us/motiv...

A second vote for "doesn't seem to make it worse." In my case, erging also appears to hit many of the same muscles as running, not to mention working the heart and lungs. A couple weeks ago, without running so much as a mile in the last six months, I ran in a PB in a local 5K. Had a bit of soreness ...

Homeless: Will Erg for Meters
It's almost a new C2 season, and I'm looking for a home on a (most likely virtual) team. This would be for myself and my nine year-old son; my wife still can't understand why anyone would possibly subject themselves to this unique torture. I've looked over a lot of the team threads, and got somewhat...

There's a couple directions you may want to look for answers (as I will obviously not have any sure ones for you). First, as you likely know, muscle weighs more than fat. Thus it's as important to mind the tape measure as the scales -- and also track body fat percentage if possible. Equally importan...

More critical seems to be to avoid rolling the pelvis at the release, sitting straight with little or no lean-back but plenty of reach forward, so that the weight stays as much as possible on the feet, not on the rear. I appreciate all the various suggestions, and will try some beyond my current ho...

Seat Pad
After losing a bunch of weight, I've been left with very little natural posterior padding, which presents the usual problem. That is, finding a way to row for extended periods while avoiding (literally) black & blue marks on my cheeks. All my rowing is currently done at a gym, so the C2 pad isn't an...
