Model C Vs Model D and noise

I have a Model C that is out in the garage because of the noise it makes, I don't want to wake everybody in the house up. At the gym they have a Model D and it seems like it does not make as much noise. Is this just me? Does anybody have a Model D or E in their house and how is the noise? I am think...

I like to go long most days of the week ( 60 minutes). One day a week I really push it. My body seems to deal with this better over the long haul as far as injury and being too sore.

Noise

Is there much of a noise difference between the Model C and the Model D Concept II ergometers? I currently own a Model C but I have to admit that the noise gets on my nerves after awhile (it was sooo much better than my Model B though). Can anybody comment on the difference, any input appreciated ?

I think you have one of the best pieces of cardio equipment out on the market, the Concept II Rower. If you put in the work, you are going to see an amazing change in your body weight.

I found if I eat before I row (protein powder, fiber- 10 grams soluble and OJ drink mix) and right after it really nails the big time hunger later on. I consume much less calories overall. Keep hydrated, get your fiber in (fruits and veggies) and it really helps.

70,000 meters is great, keep it up. You have an exercise habit and that for some is a hurdle they have trouble with. The weight loss will come, just keep on rowing and watch - out for those high-cal snacks. :D

It seems hard for some to start an exercise habit.

I agree with the above post, logging in other exercises (weightlifting for example :D) would be great.

Polar F6 Calories Burned

I own a Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor. I have put in all my data as far as age, weight etc. It does have a calories burned display, which I am sure it calculates off of my heart rate. I notice when I really increase my intensity that my calories burned shoots up much more than compared with what the d...

It can be done I think, but your heart rate has to be kept really, really low otherwise you would get extreme DMS. A lot of training time is LSD anyways unless your putting in such a small amount of training that you just can get away with mostly high intensity. What surprises me is really how littl...
