Lol I got the same 'old lady' comments on my first posts too. Everyone was new to the erg at some point, and likely pulled god-awful old-lady times themselves. I started off rowing thinking 2:30 was a great 500m split too. I'm still pretty new to this, but turns out I didn't have any crazy technique...

All my rows with the exception of TTs are fasted in the morning. I do intermittent fasting so most days don't touch a drop of food until the afternoon. Some days (once every 2 weeks or so) I don't eat at all! Even time trials I generally eat a big lunch around 1 or 2pm and don't do my race piece unt...

I don't understand the scoring though, how come Forum Flyers meters are 1862 and we're in 6th but Free Spirits has 1832 and are in 2nd place?

I did good! I didn't see the pacing suggestions until this morning... lol so I went out a little hot but I'm very pleased I was able to hold on close to 1:50
