Re: Dynamic Versus D/E
I have been using the Dynamic for 3 months in 2013 and sold it thereafter. Though I liked it for the reasons said above I do prefer the model D/E as it "feels" better to me. I keep working on my technique and regular core/strength training and so far no trouble with my lower back or knees above what...

Re: Firmware update on PM4
It's a MacBook, online and no firewall. I am trying to upgrade the PM firmware using the C2 utility but gives error message. Citroen, do you know?

Re: Argument against rowing early in the morning
I do most of my workouts in the morning since many years and that includes lifting. I am very strict with form and avoid Olympic/ballistic movements. As I get older I spend more time on bodyweight core exercises and stretching.

Firmware update on PM4
I tried upgrading from V.3.13 to 3.18 on my PM4. The Windows laptop is online and data transfer from log card works just fine. When trying the upgrade I get error message re firewall but firewall is deactivated on my laptop. Tried same thing on Mac with same negative result. Please advise. Thanks.

Re: Dynamic Versus D/E
I have used both but prefer D/E. To me, the stationary erg is better for longer rows and I get easier into the long, rhythmic zone. I find that (lower) back pain can best be dealt with by doing plenty of functional core work. At age 52 I do at least 20min a day and static stretching on top after row...

Re: Is a Concept 2 "good enough" ??
Go and check out navyfitness.org. Their NOFFS program can be downloaded for free and is the most comprehensive trainig program I have come across. The rower fits in well and there is not much equipment needed. Ir's perfect for all around fitness for the aging body.

Re: Weight Training Help
There is a great app on App Store called "Navy Seal Fitness". It sells for $1.99 and is comprehensive in all aspects of fitness incl. Weights, Core, Flexibility, etc. I also recommend the C2 Training Guide from the UK side that can easily be found online. It includes a couple of chapters on weight t...
Re: concept 2
I have been using it for several years and it works very well. Most of the time I use it for longer pieces with paceboat and some good music. Good times

Re: Row2Go membership: my best investment in years
Carl, that's a very good point on separating racing and training. Though I like the row2go workouts a lot I do not use them every day. 1-2 x per week to spice things up and the rest is well paced longer pieces. I am turning 51yrs soon and can't go crazy all the time but I do train 5-6 x per week sta...

Re: Row2Go membership: my best investment in years
I also like Xeno Mueller's workouts at Row2Go. There are a great number of different interval workouts and intensity levels. It never gets boring and helps me to push harder if desired than training "alone". The other great benefit is the ongoing reminder for proper technique and Xeno uses plenty of...

Re: Improving rowing technique and performance with me.
After completing a number of your interval workouts it's obvious that I need to do the bulk of training in staedy state. I hope you will produce a couple of 10k, 45min, etc. steady state mp4's for aerobic training.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: I want a ski erg because.....
I'm not sure. For Skiers this may be a great "summer training" but for general fitness and conditioning there are more effective ways. I add bodyweight workouts incl. Swiss ball/Med balls and dumbbells/resistance bands 2 per week to complement indoor rowing and find it gives me great benefits for co...

Re: Improving rowing technique and performance with me.
The dynamic erg arrived yesterday. According to the distributor I am the first owner of a C2 dynamic erg in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Phillipines... This morning I gave the new erg a run and I loved it. I worked out along Xeno's Anytime, anywhere workout (online at Row2Go) where X...

Re: Improving rowing technique and performance with me.
I have ordered the dynamic erg and look forward to working with it. Xeno, will you produce additional workout videos with the dynamic rower?
