I definitely agree on the need for music during the longer rows. The only time I've ever put the handle down and stopped rowing in the middle of a piece was one time when my ipod died about 40 minutes into an hour row about a month ago. It ended up working out for the best, I went out and picked up ...

bloomp, congrats on 30k in one day! I decided that I'm going to spend the next couple days baselining, to get a better idea of where I'm at right now, to be able to better gauge progress in the future. I'm thinking I will probably dive into a training plan starting on Monday. Leaning towards WP, but...

I think that focusing can definitely improve consistency and provide a distraction from exhaustion. If it's real pain, it probably shouldn't be ignored, if it's mostly just slight discomfort from the effort/exertion, that is different. There are times that I will focus on a certain split time and tr...

Perhaps my statement came out wrong. When I said, "trying to decide what goal to set next", it was mostly just because reaching the goal of a 2K under 7 minutes came a bit sooner than I had expected. The first goal was finishing the first million meters. Along the way, added the goal to finish a 100...

This one was definitely a "controlled burn". Started out with a high rate (36s/m) but couldn't hold it, so dropped to 27/28 and held for the remainder. Definitely better than the last attempt, which was wild and crazy, horrible form, chain flapping. Need to focus more on the shorter distances, and t...

Surprised myself on 2K!
Today I shaved almost 30 seconds off my last attempt. Still, it was definitely a 'crash and burn', although I did make it to the finish. 1:36.8/1:46.1/1:47.6/1:46.4 S/M - 33/28/27/28 Total time 6:56.9, down from 7:26.8 Need to step back and regroup, as my goals for the year are suddenly behi...

Well, today's goal was to shave some time off my FM PB, as I have only attempted it one other time, and that was a "can I finish" attempt. Managed to take more than 19 minutes off my prior time and finish FM in 2:52:26.2. At this point, starting to hit the realization that times will not keep improv...

Two PBs in one row
New PB for HM - 1:25:22.2
Also, it happened to put me over the threshold of completing my first million meters, finishing in under 6 weeks.

Two separate things. 1. I have seen the same differences between what shows at the end of the row and what ends up on the logcard. When entering the time that appeared on the logcard, in conjunction with the verification code, I have always had it accept the time. (other than on my 100k) 2. In this ...

I've seen the "tenth of a second difference" as well on some pieces. In this particular case, I think that the code not taking may have something to do with the piece being set up as an interval, rather than a single distance. It imported from the logcard fine, I was just used to manually entering v...
