Re: Type 2 diabetes and victory

Thx for the videos. The presentation by J Volek when he mentions the work of Cahill, and people feeling normal with bgl's 1.2 mmol/l (20mg/dl) and one as low as 0.5 mmol/l (9mg/dl) From 15:30 to about 20:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC_qBC1EEvw Astonishing. Typically I start going 'zom...

Re: Type 2 diabetes and victory

Still going strong my side, packing more calories a day than before, feeling better and not starving with better bgl's. I did attack the Xmas trifle and malva puddings though :D without any shame haha. I am actually not finding it to difficult to eat this way. Seems even when I have some carbs now, ...

Re: Type 2 diabetes and victory

Thx Shawn The first rule of HFLC is we are not supposed to talk about it, apparently  Well I took hjs's initial advice offered as a trial run (and others) a month ago and a BIG thanks is in order, at least in the short term! :D Low carb high fat is the best route for people with sugar problems....

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

w3d6. 8k row.. this is my first time through and glad that I made it through. Definitely going to keep it up and will be easier next time since I will have some actual times to go by and benchmark myself against. for the recovery with rows though I will be doing 10k instead of the 8k I have been do...

Re: Drag factor on brand new Model D

:D

Just as a matter of interest, sorry if a stupid question, how is the drag factor controlled in formal competitions?
Is there a standard protocol for light vs heavyweights, 2 single settings or a sliding scale?
Just curious :?:

Re: New Model D owner - usb flash drive problem

I tried 2 usb flash drives. corsair/lexar/ My corsair usb 3 (32gb) drive was recognized in the pm5, but with a flashing icon on the monitor, nothing being recorded and no option in the pm to get to the usb log. The 16gb Lexar usb3 stick worked perfectly, no issue. Thinking the smaller memory drives ...

Re: Drag factor on brand new Model D

My only complaint about drag factor is that it doesn't go down to 0  , so that I can at least pretend to be fit  No, the DF will never go down to zero in the real world of friction. With zero drag, the wheel would theoretically spin forever. ,,snip Which was my point exactly, just some ...

Re: Drag factor on brand new Model D

Hi Kris Just did a very quick check and my Model D is just over a month old and very similar numbers. damper 1 -> drag 78 damper 5 -> drag 125 damper 10 -> drag 214 I'm chugging along at 4-4.5 setting on my humble attempts which is around 120, but still fiddling a bit and may turn it down a bit when...

Re: Garmin watch and PM5

The Row App is probably what more people will use given the current iteration. The Row Indoor App only provides stroke rate and other metrics based on the accelerometer, doesn't link up with the C2PM at this point. Tried last night and I didn't see anything to indicate it worked any differently. Yu...
