New Team: GENDER PIRATES. Sign yourself up, matey!
Hey there, everyone! Are there any other trans folks out there, in the Concept2 community? Would you like to join a team for Team Challenge participation? If so, please consider joining GENDER PIRATES! I created this team for my trans, TG, TS, GenderQueer siblings, and I can't wait to meet you!! In ...

late to the game, but...
I recently rented the movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch and had to get the soundtrack right away! I have no idea what the songs' BPMs are, or any of the technical/training issues, but it's quite good music (in my opinion). I thoroughly enjoy rowing to it, and the whole soundtrack is about 45" long, so...

DIAR newbie - howdy, all
I just posted to the DIAR Holiday Challenge section, but thought I'd go ahead and post here as well, to introduce myself. I started on-water rowing back in 1989, or so (at Open Water Rowing in Sausalito, CA). I dropped rowing in favor of horseback riding, for a number of years, but back in 2002 or 2...

newbie duck -- HC participant
Hi, all, Having decided on Monday, 11/27, to try for the 200K challenge, I'm on my way: as of last night's row, 123,468M. I need to do about 9700M per day, through 12/22, to succeed--here's hoping! I've been working out with weights 2-3x/week for a while now, but I hadn't been able to stick with the...

another possible aid to sciatica
I used to have regular sciatic (referred) pain that shot down the side/back of my thigh. When I changed to sitting on a fitness ball at work, the pain resolved. It now returns only if I subject myself to a long interstate drive. :) I think the main secret is the fact that the ball doesn't squeeze or...
