Re: April Fools' 2020 Challenge Progress
Hi, I have been doing ok with days 1-9 but will probably stop at day 10 I'm quite a slow rower and really don't want to be going for more than an hour. Also unfortunately I have developed a huge blister on the back of my heel. I did a fair bit of rowing when I was rehabbing my knee in 2015 and have ...

Re: PM5 and FitBit Charge HR
What model vivosmart did you get? Do you know if the vivofit would work too?
My chest strap doesn't connect with the pm5 so I'd like to try a wrist one rather than buy a new chest strap.
Would love to see my heart rate in my data.

Re: Holiday Challenge 2015
Not far off completion of my 100k now. It has been tough but only 5 k left later today. My injured knee is doing great and my fitness too but my back is starting to cause me issues so I will be so glad when I am done. Will need to get a video of my technique up but I think I am overreaching - will h...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
First ever 60 minute row today and managed to keep it just under 2:30 / 500 which is good enough for me. Adds another 12 k to my 100 k challenge target so only 25 k left to go now. Will be glad when it is done. Then will have a rest for a good few days and try for some new pbs.

Yes I misread the typo as 500m too. The brain just tries to make sense of what it sees

Re: Holiday Challenge 2015
How is it going? This is my first challenge so I won't be aiming for a pin this time. 100k is a lot more than I have ever done in such short time period so is a challenge alright. Hoping to lose a bit of weight pre-Christmas. Currently at 44k so well on my way but my distances are dropping now - los...

Disadvantages of rowing strapless?
I started rowing strapless after having a shin problem caused elsewhere over a year ago Is there any reason I should try and get back to using the straps? When i first changed over I noticed I was slower / had less power but now I think it is is similar. I did try once recently and nearly did myself...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Nice work, Alison! Best put the rehab before the speed but the "several" PBs suggest you're managing both very well. Thanks. I started off easy and tried a few of the times and distances. At first I was way off but quickly got closer - got the all clear from the doc to build some muscle up and push...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Re: New model D problem
Thanks - I think it gets worse as I get tired. I have a knee injury so I expect I am unbalanced.

New model D problem
Hi we just bought our first concept 2 rower and generally it is as expected but the roller doesn't seem to be running evenly and we are getting small shavings of white plastic?
Anyone else had this? Is it bedding in or should we be worried?
thanks
alison
