Great row, Greg. This was the most impressive session that I've seen in a long time.

That is a PB by 0.2 seconds.
Great job, Greg. To break that PB, you must have fought very hard the last two minutes.

To find the ideal erg shoes, Pete Marston and I visited at least five shops in New York City. We chose a pair of New Balance sneakers that are designed for sprinting on synthetic tracks. In effect, they're racing flats with compressed rubber instead of spikes. I alternate between these and Adidas Sa...

I agree with John. Even if you don't want to exceed the test's rating often, at least increase your rating to 24. And for some 5-10K pieces, once or twice a fortnight, go for 26-30 spm. Those sessions will make 24 feel slow enough for you to row comfortable and push hard with your legs.

Distance: 18K.

Split: 1:50.8.

This was the first session after the Camp. So it was hard to push myself. The C-Breeze felt great, though.

Here's how Pete described today's row: "Final day of the New York training camp today. My legs (and the rest of me) were (and are) very fatigued, so I opted for a medium paced negative split 10k, while Jamie planned on a steady hour. My 10k came in at a 1:49.7 split, but Jamie pushed on after I fini...

Pete Marston and I rowed the following workouts this weekend

Friday: Hard 60 minutes.

Saturday: 5x5 minutes (5 minutes of rest between pieces).

Sunday: 60 minutes. The goal was to aim for 16K. I think Pete actually hit 16K exactly.

Thanks very much. Today, we rowed hard for 60 minutes. Pete was 1:50 split; I was 1:51 (I think).
