Back after a long time off

Been cycling the past few years and snagged a mint C2 for $750. Starting Pete plan and will do 1/2 of the scheduled distances for a few weeks. Felt relatively decent for being back.

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w3d5 round 2, 5k time trial. PR of 20:58.2 which is a couple of seconds faster than before but I will take it. round 1 w3d5 5k was 21:30. have to start traveling in a couple of weeks for work so I am going to miss out on the rower 6 days a week. I am sure I can get 4 days in if I do weekends as well...

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w3d4 round 2, 10k in 46:00 felt pretty good but still pretty uncomfortable towards the end of the row on the sit bones. I guess it is something that I am just going to have to deal with. good thing though I am only 2,500 from 1million meters.

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w3d1 round 2. target was 3:45 per 1000m and I hit that. was a little winded the first 2 because I was rooting on my Seahawks yesterday and had one too many Guinness'. We got lucky but it happens.

last round was 3:50 avg 1000m so a 5 second improvement each 1000m.

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

wow is all I can say and now you can add that to your signature. for those people that do it daily my hat is off to them. rest days today... so why, oh why, did someone put the idea in my head to do a FM ? I had 2 targets left this year 1) complete a FM 2) finish FM under 3:00 I thought i'd take it ...

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w2d4 round 2, 10k. 2:22 avg 500m and avg hr at 122. going to do 1 more week of the pp to get 2 rounds in and then I will start travel for my work so I will have to modify my workouts and probably only get 3 days of rowing in weekly. when that happens should I do the intervals or the longer rows?

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w2d3, 4x2000m. probably my least favorite workout of the bunch but being the second time around I at least have an idea of what times to do. last time I did: 8:11.3, 8:11.5, 8:11.1 and 8:11.6 hit my target time going in of 8:05 and which was an improvement of 6 seconds each 2000m. last two were toug...

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

nice work PP W1 D5 swapped the steady for this months CTC (5kTT) as usual (for me) 1) EF warmup based on 7:00/2k ~4700m 2) 5k TT 3) 10 Warmdown - UT1/UT2 previous PB was 1:52 so that was the target pace- stumbled in the middle needed a couple of breather strokes (cough attack), but quite pleased wit...

Re: Pete Plan Autumn 2015

w1d3. 5x1500m round 2. last round I did 6:06 for each 1500m. this time I was at 6:00. last one was pretty tough but for all of them wanted to stay as long or under 6:00 as possible. mission accomplished.
