Feet and Ankles

I am not having any pain and I am enjoying my rower but I have a question. I apologize for not knowing all the terminology yet but here it goes. When I return to the rower (is this bottom of the catch) and my shins are square to the floor I am on the ball of my feet. Should my feet stay flat at this...

First 2 Rows

I got my Model D with PM3 last night. It is defintiely a quality piece of equipment. I had it together and was rowing in about 15 minutes. Watched the DVD and my form will need some work but I rowed a 2000 meter piece last night in 9:42 and a 5000 meter piece this morning in 29.02. LOL I will defini...

Pushups, Hindu Pushups, Pullups, Barbell Pullups (like a high bench row in weightlifting for rowing teams, grab a bar like your are going to bench press but with no bench beneath you so you are hanging and keep your body stiff and straight, you can elevate feet to make it harder and pull yourself up...

Flexibility Issue

Way back at the beginning, this topic was about injury rates on ergs vs OTW. I was wondering if the difference has anything to do with a shell having sliders that limit how far forward you can come vs the erg where you can compress your seat as close to your feet as you want. When I started erging,...

Well hoping to here a little more about the C vs D but my better half approved of spending the extra to get a new Model D. Santa is coming early for me. Any further considerations before I purchase?

My inspiration for rowing is a friends mother. Molly is a wonderful lady back home in New Zealand who decided at age 79 she should try and get more out of life since she had never been to college, worked outside of the home etc. She did a skydiving jump and then took up indoor rowing. Her goal was ...

It will go in my fitness area with my Power Rack and weights. Not too worried about prettier and quieter but I understand what you are saying. I am more worried about getting the best I can for the dollar. If it is worth it to go to the Model D I will pay the extra and try to patiently wait.

New to Erging

I have rowed a couple of times now on a public rower (Model C) and love it. I cannot think of another cardio exercise that uses such a large part of the body at once. I have two areas of questions. My first is I am looking at buying my own erg. I have noticed Model Cs on sale on EBay. Since I am new...
