Double Tabata Interval Session 8 X 40" 20" rest r39 1:40.2 DF 105 HR 166 Thought I'de see what doubling work time but keeping the work/rest ratio at 2:1. Didn't know hot to pace this though so decided to hold 1:38 which with the slow first few strokes resulted in a average of about 1:40.5 by the end...

I agree with everyone else. I bought my own over three years ago. The gym in my office also has a model D however, since I only live two minutes from the office, I prefer to row at home. The gym is warmer than I like and since I sweat buckets, I have a fan in front of me at home and one in back whic...

Marvin,

Also, it looks like your 5K through 60' would easily be smashed by a large amount at this point.

Emily,

Nice PB of 5 seconds in Boston!

Marvin, Congratulations on the huge improvement. All the meters you are rowing must allow you to "burn" for a long time. That ususally does not happen until the final third of a 2K. It looks to me like you realized that you would not be able to sustain 1:38 pace and smartly backed off to a more reas...

Joe, Nice 5K and quite the negative Split. I'll bet dollars to donuts that you are currently in shape for a PR on the 5K. Based on the last two splits, surely you could have averaged 1:57 through the whole piece. For me today: Longest row in 2 months :D 5K 2:01.5 r20 HR 145 The Tabata's seem to have...

I think the limitations of the Tabata Protocol are beginning to show..... Planned another 2K TT today after handling down last week at around 1500m. I had planned to back off the pace I was using last week at least through the first 1K and then see what I had left for the last 1K. As with last week ...
