if you do lots of low rating you will get good at low rating... then you just need to find some r24 races B) I'd do some pieces at higher rating, might take a few sessions to get the rate up, but should be faster once you get used to it. Aim for 26, then 28 then 30, then 32... Probably no need to go...

While I was watching the Olympics yesterday, it occured to me that the action at the footplate in rowing is closely comparable to springboard diving/trampolining.
Yeah, but it's a real pain having to get back into the boat after every stroke...

You can change the battery without having to reset the clock and without losing any data in the PM3 memory if you're quick about it. (It takes about 30mins for all the capacitors to discharge completely.)
If you plug a usb cable in tothe pm3 you can take as long as you like B)

Our boats have a short length of tape on the leading edge of the hull at the bow end to protect if it hits logs, but there's none on the deck edges, I'd get rid of it!

Andy, do you row for both of your cardio sessions? If you don't what else do you like for cardio ? Ergs, sculling, cycling, and very occasionally sweep FWIW when I was racing indoors I got down from 95kg to to 80kg just on 1 session a day over about 6 months and then stuck there for the next 6 mont...

Put your heels down at the start of the drive.

If you are training for on the water, draw in a bit lower, if not don't worry about it.
