It seems that I won't be rowing at all this winter (I only got in around 4k!). I guess because I didn't have enough time, what with me working and school. Next year though, I will start again.

ALthough I got off to a rocky start this time (4.1k in exactly 20:00 WITH a break to drink carbs to replenish energy) as opposed to last year's holiday challenge when I started out with ~8k my first day, I still plan to make the 200k mark. I did it on the PM2 (I hope that the Holiday Challenge allow...

Greetings fellow erg rowers-

When measuring direct VO2 max using an erg, what sort of equation is used for calculations?
Thanks.

[quote="jamesg"]To get a good answer, you need to frame your question with a lot more care. However, when I rowed we started in October and raced April-July. Sorry about that. I usually tend to state my questions sometimes very vague when trying to get a detail. Anyway, could you send me the link to...

seasons...

Guys, do any of you know what the timing for rowing is (in season, post season, pre season)? I ask because I am doing an assignment for one of my classes where I am training a hypothetical client to be ready for the Canadian Henley (Aug 08). If any of you know and would post it I would much apprecia...

understanding readouts

I am currently in the midst of doing the 200k winter challenge, rowing an average of 10k per day. My problem is, when I do power rows, I go through the full range of motion for the row, and the avg pace stays the same, while my current pace changes (either from 2:05-1:57-2:07). Does anyone know why ...

Igoeja-

The site you have given me only shows the negative aspects of rowing. I am trying to look for the positive aspects (such as in rehab). Do you (or does anyone) know where I can find scientific articles on the benefits of rowing for rehab? Thanks.
