You are right about technique, I was being stupid/dumb last night, sorry to everyone here. I am a lifetime runner who has personal bests all from 1986, (1983-1988), between the ages of 21 through 26. Again I was pretty good, but not World Class. 1500 4:09.6; 3000 8:47.6; 8km 25:24; 10km track 31:47....
Ya sort that, I want to know what to do weekly. I believe in mixing distance with power year round, fuck the technique stuff, the chain is smooth. 18 months (6/07), runner for the most part, 47 years old, 7805mt half hour, 18:49.9 five Km, 7:02.1 2km, what else do you want? I think if I got on the right program, sit down, I could break world records. Cocky shit I know. I have kept a log here on concept2 since 12/08 willing to turn over the data.
coaching

My thoughts it would be at or about 18-20% faster to run over rowing the same distance on the World Class level overa broard range of distance. 4:44.79 is the WR 2km & 26:17.53 is the WR for 10,000 meters for running. 5:36.6 rowing 2km WR & 31:36.5 for the rowing WR would both be in the range of 18-...

running to row equivalents
Hi new to this forum. I was wondering what would be the best guess to the time equivalents from running to rowing; rowing to running. I am a 47 yo male with a fairly vast running background. Started rowing about 18 months ago. I gues my question is, if one could row 18:50 for 5km what would the same...
