dr. espo,
May I respectfully request that you not confuse Osteopathic physicians with Chiropractors? They are not the same, either in training, licensing, or scope of practice.
Thank you

I use a heart rate monitor. It is a strap that fits around my chest. I tuck it under the heavy elastic of the lower portion of my bra, which aids in good contact. I don't have trouble with the HR not registering, esp once I get sweaty. Don't have any experience with a bra designed with the monitor i...

When I learned to loosen my grip (loose "C", as mentioned by a previous poster) I stopped having so much difficulty with sweaty hands. Still a problem on high heat/humidity days herein Oklahoma while doing sprint work, which probably means I am gripping too hard. I would use unscented deodorant on m...

I row in front of the TV. Often watching shows with my family. I also watch professional conferences, so can get my CME credits taken care of and exercise at the same time. If I am really trying to focus on split times, interval work, etc. I will row without anything on the tube. For long aerobic st...

Mary, I have had the opportunity to row on Model "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E" machines. The B model has significant differences from C, D or E. I don't find it to be as good a machine for me. Though John finds it useful to his needs. The slide is constructed differently on the B, as are the fly wheel,...

I like to load my backpack and carry loads up hills when getting ready to do mountain hiking. (eg: Kilimanjaro-was great when getting ready for that trek) The rowing does compliment the hiking well, as does biking on hills. I usually weighted with rice and water. If I had a dog I would probably use ...

Simon, I will make three quick suggestions which you can consider and do some search engine work on if interested. 1. Look into using the powerlung. It is designed to condition your muscles of respiration. This will be useful to you both for training purposes and because of your pulmonary problems (...

I've rowed my model D in the next room at midnight without disturbing my families sleep. I have rowed my model C in hotel rooms at night without complaint. Yes, I am addicted enough that I take it on the road with me when I work out of town. The C is noisier than the D. The family likes the D better...

Congrats on the 10k grams. I've been a bit sluggish for the past couple of months, and am feeling strong this week. Several hour long rows, and did a 15k last night. I am getting in shape for a conference I will be attending soon. In fact, I won't be finishing the challenge. I leave for the conferen...

YES!!!! Alex, 7, finished his 50k kids challenge tonight!! This is the third year he has tried to complete the challenge, and we finally made it! I am so proud of the boy! He is a type 1 diabetic, so we had to be careful not to make him "low sugar" from the exercise. A few "uncovered" carbs and go.....

We are certainly a quiet group right now! Hope the challenge is going well for everyone. I think I will complete my 200k in a day or so. At about 180k now. I have to finish by the 20th, so I've been pushing the meters. I have tried something new this past week which seems to be working well for both...

Sounds like the machine you tried at the club may be a C. The C makes alot more chain noise than the D. I currently own both a C and a D. The main reason I purchased the D is because I spend time watching TV with the kids while rowing. The family reported a significant decrease in noise with the D. ...
