Thanks for the link, Bob. I may consider this if I need a big replacement (but I hope to have it fit better before I wear it out!). My problem with comfort though is more the tendency for the monitor and the plastic pieces that snap the monitor into place tend to poke into what I'll refer to as fles...

yes... not very comfortably, but it will. It will probably be very useful to you as well. Be sure to get the Performance Monitor attachment for it.

This is great information. I didn't have any idea about these risks. I have few questions though. 1) There is a lot of comparison between the erg and otw rowing and the increasing number of injuries. What I don't know is, how prevalent is it? For instance do 1 in 10 people who work out on the erg ha...

I'm with you. It's my understanding that you will burn the highest proportion of fat vs. carbs while you are sitting still. I've done a lot of sitting still so I guess I burn much more fat than the average athlete, but I weigh in at nearly 270 lbs at 5 feet 8 inches. So you can see my efforts at los...

Hey... congratulations! I've been rowing since February. I weighed in at about 325 at the beginning of the year and am down around 50lbs. I started working to lose weight the last part of January and got my erg the last week in February. I lost more weight dieting than rowing. I'm sure I have put on...

Just when you thought it was safe to come back on the forum...a##hole shows back up. Yes, I agree, That is one way of describing you row4life, that and one of life’s losers. I'm embarrassed because posts like these are the ones that usually motivate me to post on the forum. I've written and re-writ...

I may be a jerk in your eyes, but who is still posting on this forum and who is the one that has gone into hiding. You just don't get it. I don't care who's not posting. I don't care who is right and who is wrong. I don't care if somebody lied about times. This forum is a better place when you aren...

Did you ride the short bus to school? You are one of the most abrasive, hardheaded, self-serving persons I have run across. I've been staying away from your threads because they have created more harm than good but this is too much. Why you think anybody would owe you an apology is beyond me. The DA...

I've posted my little story before, so please forgive me if you've heard it before. You can ignore me (just like my seven year old does :) ) In January I had heart palpitations and shortness of breath. At the time, I was 5.8", 325 pounds and 41 years old. The men on one side of my family have a hist...

Both the lower stroke rate and heart beat seem to imply that you were going at a lower pace as well, but you did not state this specifically. Bob S. You noticed I didn't specify the pace... I was hoping to slip that by. It's very humbling to perform the way I do! I don't remember the exact paces an...

I've been skeptical on the whole strapless rowing thing and the 10 mps but I gave it a shot today. I was able to adjust so I wouldn't fly off the erg fairly quickly and even seemed to sustain a strong pace (for me) for a longer period of time. The down side was that after a while, my legs started fe...

I'm afraid I can't argue that one. That's pretty sorry isn't it... and here I am contributing to the problem. Alright... I'm out of here.

Anyway Chad has been only one of the more recent messagers about Dwayne, and that topic started with the advent of Dwayne and his times, not with Chad. If a building is burning you don't attack the person who brought it to people's attention, you put out the fire. It is ridiculous that some people ...

What glory is there in having your name at the top of the list? . It is not about being top of the list; it is about Morals, ethics, honesty and integrity. Give me a break... you are totally out of your mind if you believe this. Our society stinks of immorality, dishonesty and unethical behavior. I...
