Re: PERSONAL BESTS ABOUND

rfahle After I started to verify my latest Nonathlon Update, I found that Bonnie Hammel has registered what must be a new personal best for 60 minutes. She recorded a Nonathlon score of 896 for this piece. Finally got a (brief) break in the humidity Saturday morning and decided to take advantage of...

boblevy99: I rowed a 500 meter piece in 1.39.4. This is a mediocre time, but it equalled a personal best. I was pulling 1.39 flat and lost my chance to better it in the last 80 meters. Rats !
Don't you just hate that?! As for mediocre, I should live to be so "mediocre"!

Re: Rowbo Nonathlon Postings

I had hoped that Bonnie would take mercy on me and let up from the brutal whipping she has unleashed on me in Nonathlon and total meters. I guess she figures that I'm still younger (just a little) and I should show more respect for my elders! Your advanced age has obviously impaired your eyesight (...

Crumbs Count!

Tom: This morning I increased my 30 minute meters by a mere 8 meters, but it gave me an extra point in the Nonathlon! BTW: This brought my season meter total to 545,002--did it just to drive you NUTS!!

Look, Ma--No Legs!

Tom: Define "unrestricted" -- Does that mean no stroke rate restriction (As in, we're free to row 1 spm or 100 spm)? Or can we row with one arm? Sitting backwards with the handle tucked under our elbows? Using an underhand grip? Holding an umbrella? Wearing funny hats? With our hair in curlers? Bar...

A Day Late....

Fellow Rowbos: Sorry for the failure to make the 2006 Solstice Row: tied up in airports all day. But to try to make up for it, instead of 21000m on the 21st, I rowed 22000m on the 22nd...does that work? Gonna try the 1000 again here in Michigan: about 4000 feet lower in elevation and rich...RICH......

Summer Solstice--I Need a Poultice!

I quickly scanned the Summer Solstice Honor Board awhile ago and was happy to see that four other UNM stalwarts (John C: Is that something horses get?) have joined me in the pursuit of pain in its purest form: (1) Jennifer Barrick; (2) Gary Erdos; (3) Dennis Kline and (4)Dave Smith. Congratulations...

Re: Forum

Nice job getting this set up Rick! On a different note, Bonnie must enjoy a little pain also doing a half at 2:30 am. I thought I was nuts doing a 10 k by 5:30 am before a 12-hr shift! Row well UNM. In pain, there is truth. And the truth is, pain HURTS :!: (but just for a little while...) :...
