Re: PM5 crashing during a call, BT issue?
The current ErgData implementation gets all its workout data as a push from the PM5. You may be describing an error in the PM5 user interface functionality that is incorrectly overwriting text. An image would be very helpful.

Re: PM5 crashing during a call, BT issue?
I assume the Fenix 5 connection is for heart rate and that you make this connection by going to Connect->Connect Heart Rate on the PM5. You then select the Fenix 5 HR from the list and then confirm the connection. When and on which screen to you see the overlaid text? Can you send me an image? I don...

Re: PM5 crashing during a call, BT issue?
I am the PM5 firmware developer and Citroen brought this post to my attention. I just want to clarify something about your observations. You are saying that the PM5 workout display showed erratic pace, stroke rate, etc. while the call was in progress? Or did the PM5 hard fault and dump a bunch of va...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
We now believe that the process to resolve Android phones not connecting with a PM5 running recent firmware (v169/v869/v206) is as follows: 1. Close the ErgData app 2. Put the PM5 into Connect screen 3. Use the Bluetooth phone settings to pair with the PM5 4. Unpair the PM5 from Bluetooth phone sett...

Re: ErgData connection issues since PM5 V169 firmware update
Thanks for the confirmation of the resolution. We have just confirmed this ourselves. In my post from October 6th (https://www.c2forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=191431) there is an explanation of the Bluetooth changes in the PM5 that necessitated the process you followed. Unfortunately, not all Androi...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
Just to clarify John. The typical use of ErgData does not involve pairing using the the phones Bluetooth settings just connecting directly from ErgData. In this case, there should be no PM5 device in the phone's Bluetooth device list. Is that consistent with your experience? The proposed fixed was t...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
As previously stated, the Samsung Galaxy A51 and the Samsung Note 9 (both Android phones) are the only two phones so far that have not worked with v169. I was able to provide a downgrade for those customers to revert back to v168 until we can figure out why. No iPhone users have experienced any diff...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
To be clear, prior to the v169 release, to my knowledge, all Android phones were compatible with ErgData. In the v169 release there are several additional Bluetooth characteristics which changed the ordering compared to any previous connection the phone had made. This ordering is "cached" by the pho...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51
Yes, it needs to be an A51 since this has a newer Bluetooth stack implementation (v5.x versus v4.2). We have one report from an A51 owner saying he is unable to connect to the PM5 v169 firmware where he was able to connect to v168. We have many other Android and iOS phone users that haven't experien...

Re: Problem with RowPro
I am the firmware developer for the PM, so I agree that using ErgData will work, although it may impact RowPro performance just by virtue of more activity on the PM. I think RowPro just attempts to simplify the setup as much as possible when customers are experiencing problems, and I don't think tha...

Re: ErgData, Ergathlon and Polar HR
Can I ask what firmware versions are being used when experiencing these difficultie? Ergathlon is designed to "hand-off" the HRM connection between machines as the Ergathlon progresses. When transitioning from machine 1 to machine 2 it can take up to 10 seconds before the HRM connection on machine 2...
