Re: Back to cycling
Great, just did it - wasn't obvious, I had tried different things without understanding which part was supposed to move to get the saddle/seat to tilt. I watched the video on https://www.concept2.com/bikeerg/training/setting-bikeerg to get an idea of what to do & I had to persuade the whole thing wi...

Re: Keeping an erg outside
I don't have the issue with humidity, but have often the rower outside when it's really cold. For such days, I take the monitor off. In order to make this really easy, I have bought a new longer screw and handtwist bolt, which I put on and off within 2 minutes (of course the cable needs to be connec...

Re: Rower cover and matt
In my experience, the cover is for when the rower is kept outside - it's plastic, doesn't breathe. I used the cover for rain & snow when I had to keep my rower in the garden - works very well, and the only thing to watch is how humidity gets to/into the feet, different on model C or D... Indoors, I ...

Re: New seat options? Recommendations?
I am fine with the standard Concept2 seat - But... if you wish something different and adjustable, then why don't you opt for the Citius Remex - designed by the Danes - http://citius-remex.com/ and http://citius-remex.com/product-history/ It's also distributed by the french concept2 distributor http...

Re: Waterproof cover options
Hello, the C2 cover fabric is waterproof - it's just the edging strip on the top seam which is not glued/waterproofed (and in colder climates, it brittles with time). Having said this, the cover worked well one or two years, and then some waterproofing needed to be done. Otherwise, quite efficient -...

Re: Fit a model D in a suitcase!
That's intriguing - in which ski suitcase did the rower fit?

Re: PM5 missing workout details?
Check if the workout is on the rowers memory - and if it is, there is an option in the menus to transfer it to the usb stick. When the stick is not fully plugged in, the workout gets recorded to the rower- this is what I noticed. And when the stick is in, there is an option in the menu for the usb l...

Re: PM5 is here ...
Just as an update on the backlight - in the meantime, I got used to the fact that the light switches off quite quickly after the row is finished. This inconvenience is rather little compared to the great advantage of having the backlight whilst rowing. As I am using an erg also in hotel/public gyms ...

Re: PM5 is here ...
Let me ask back differently: what do you expect a user to be able to do in 20 secs in a place where there is not enough light to read the display. ... ... .... my present answer is to grab a light and hold it, then take a piece of paper and a pen at the same time, then read the display a bit longer ...

Re: PM5 is here ...
I fully agree that the back-light feature is great - this is one of the reasons for myself to upgrade the rower - but it is somehow not so well designed - or has been designed by someone who was sitting in constant full light. Back-light is useful when you do not have much light where the row...

Re: Cycling and rowing equivalent distances
And how do gym cycle ergometers compare to the Concept2? This is for when I travel and there is no rowing machine in the gym - usually, there are cycle ergometers (no need to point me to the erg finder - I know that page very well, as well as quite a lot erg resources - but fact is that there is not...
