Illness and 2k test

If i was ill, and decided to do the 2k test anyway, what do you think would happen? Would I do my test worse than i actually could or it would just prolong my recovery from illness?

Heart rate

Hi everyone, I have one question and hope somebody will answer me.
What is the difference between heart rate when I do the erg and when I run? For example, is 180 bpm when i'm doing the erg the same as while i'm running?
Thanks, Ivana

Hmm... I'm always doing that fly & die technique and I haven't some special problems, although it's a lot easier if I keep it relatively steady (-3 first 500m, -2 at last 300m, not big jumps) and I always break it

I've heard that you should have the same position of back at the recovery as at the start of the stroke and keep it, then fast open it up during the drive, but don't too much lean at the finish

I think, if you really want to go better, you just have to go your maximum (if you haven't been doing that until now), and that means be out of breath at the end. The first few pulls go your max, the first 500 m little faster than your planned average split, and the last 300 m go your max again.

Thank you all, something alike i thought. I always think about that I have a ltitle more to go, even if I haven't finished nor 1/3 of all :)
But I've seen some interesting suggestions here, and I'll try it.

Motivation

Hi, I row for a while and I was wondering, how do you keep embolding yourself during some test, e.g. 6k? I mean, what are you thinking about, so you can persist... How do you get motivate to keep up whole test?

Thanks :)
