I used to say things like this. I don't bother anymore.

I used something heavier, but had the same sort of problem. I discovered that I could get the right weight depending on exactly where I set the weight on the scale.

There are now three people registered for my race. I'm very excited to be racing people in real time again. Let's go!

Hotel for CRASH-Bs: the website has been updated with hotel information. (See https://www.crash-b.org/regatta/travel/) There it says "We do not have an “official” CRASH-B Hotel for this event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Search for hotels near Brandeis University."

A small group of people is planning on staying in hotels a little north of the venue in Waltham near the Cambridge Resevoir. A couple (including me) have booked Courtyard by Marriott Boston Waltham.

Just in case anyone is interested.

I don't think there is a virtual component to the US National Championship this year.

There might not be many people racing but I would still enjoy saying that I'm the National Champion. I'm not proud; I'll take what I can get.

Arlene and I have booked a flight.

Arlene and I are signed up for the virtual version. Local time our races are about 2am and 3am.
