8x500 pieces as indicator of predicted 2k time
can you roughly predict your 2k time from your 500 interval times? yet to do a 2k on the skierg so don't really have an idea what to set out for which means I could go too hard or too slow. currently doing 8x500 with 1 minutes rest at an average of 2.11.
any ideas???
thanks in advance!

virtual app
I was wondering if there was a virtual app out there for training on the skierg. Seem to be able to find them for the rower and cycle but not the skierg.
anybody know of one?
Happy new year all!
Thanks

Thanks for the ideas and tech advice. She's being delivered a week today so I'll have my first blast on Saturday and take it from there. I'm sure I will be back on asking for a few more tips etc!

new to SkiErg
hi just paid for my SkiErg this morning after being on the waiting list for 3 months. should be with me within the next 2 weeks. not really trained for almost 2 years after many years on the rower. rowing stats were 6.59 for 2K and 3hours 25 minutes for a marathon. knee injury forced me to stop rowi...

how much stress do skiergs put on your knees?
hi! I was a very keen tower but due to a damaged knee I needed to give it up. I now cycle but miss the rowing and was looking at the skierg as a replacement workout tool. my question to all you experienced ergers is how much stress does this type of exercise put your knees under? having looked at a ...

model d for sale with pm5
Hi I've just been told I need a knee replacement and that rowing is definitely out of the question...only cycling allowed until my knee finally packs up! For this reason, and this reason only I am selling my black model d with a pm5. Only 62k on the clock so like a new machine. Looking for £650 for ...

Re: half marathon
Hi again Thanks for the input. I think I will do one low stroke rate session per week and build that up in terms of time spent on the rower, along with a 15k session, a 10k and a 5k. That should get me up to 40+k a week which I think is all I will have time for. How does that sound? I'll probably po...

half marathon
Hi I'm 52, 5'10'' and weigh in at 85kg. Last year I did my one and only marathon and managed 3 hours 25 minutes and 18 seconds. I am more of a cyclist than a rower but my bike frame just snapped so I've sort of given up on this season as its gone off to Trek for an examination and hopefully I will g...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
PB for my second HM today. Knocked 5 minutes off my previous best with a time of 1 hour, 33 minutes and 37 seconds.
Felt it with 3k to go but nailed the last 1k and the rest is history!
