rowpro doesn't work under wine; it won't install, and as of the most recent crash-b's, they have no plans for a linux version. the program i'm talking about in this thread is called "rowit," which is a free windows-pm3 program available from concept2. i can install it under wine, but it doesn't seem...

xeno's technique dvd really helped me a lot; and it's helping me help my friends who wonder how to use that dusty machine in the corner of their gym! his videos and blog also introduced me to slides. i just got them a week ago (i have a model b with a pm3) and they totally rock- a completely differe...

HOWTO: Model B and Slides Setup

Bill, can this be made sticky, in case anyone else needs this info? Thanks! Just got slides last night, and noticed the setup sheet did not apply to my model B. here's how I set it up in my room, which is just about 12 feet across in the setup area: 1. front slide 24 inches from front wall (I would ...

quick update:

got my slides last night; i think the potential for overcompression is greatly reduced when using slides!

xeno's technique video helped, too!

well, my form is pretty much the same in both long slow and short fast. i only row on the erg. i can only try to define 'efficient' in relative terms- i want to know if one in principle stands to lose anything by going past vertical. this would give me an incentive to put the effort into changing my...

found a partial answer: Yes but it’s not definite. X2Row was developed using the Microsoft .Net Framework. There is talk about support for the framework on Linux but nothing has been made available yet. Chris Onyak OnyakTech eBusiness Solutions 1300 Weathervane Lane Suite 324 Akron, OHIO 44313 USA w...

has anyone had any luck getting Rowit to work under wine? I was able to install it, and launch, but no dice actually running it.

Jim, I'm even "only-er:" 5'6"! I guess what I'm wondering about is whether to put the time in fixing the overcompression when it doesn't seem to be bothering me otherwise. I have no knee/hip issues, other than the normal approaching-40 yrs old stuff; indeed, I credit my rowing with keeping me as fle...

form question: overcompression

hello, after finding out that my shins need to be vertical at the catch, i've realized that i slide too far forward at the catch, almost to the point of hitting my heels with the seat. i've put some tape on the monorail to give me a slight bump at the right point, and am now rowing with a mirror to ...
