Best training program for improving 5,000 Mtr Time

I dont care for long rows.
I have been doing a daily 5000 mtr row and have been improving my time steadily but I am sure I will soon hit a stalling point.

Is there any good program that will improve that time without having to row long distances

Thanks

Long, Steady State Row Pace

I'd appreciate some points of reference regarding long, steady state rows and the pace I should striver for.

Assuming I was going to row one continuous piece for 45 to 60 minutes -- how much slower than my 5000 meter time should I aim for?

Thanks

High long curve

John

So the main goal is to create a high curve. I imagine you cant do too much to make the curve longer. Thanks for your response

Heel Rocking

Hi All. I'm rowing for a month Today for the first time, I noticed that on the final position of the recovery (catch) I was rocking up on the balls of my feet (heels raised). The heels went down when I started the push (drive). It seemed pretty good and more powerful. Is that good technique? I just ...

Stroke Rate as it effects Avg./500m

Hi all I am a new rower, and recently did my first 30 min piece with a stroke rate of 35 S/per minute. Someone at that gym, off handedly, expressed surprise at the 35 strokes. Later, I was thinking about the comment and wondered if I should be lowering the strokes and pulling harder? I guess I don't...

Indoor rowing (C2) Training Camps

HI I am new to indoor rowing though my daughter rowed in college for two years. I know that there are on-the-water rowing schools/camps, etc. Is there such as thing as a C2 indoor rowing type camp/weekend or something like that? Thanks, in advance, for any replies. Rich PS. As a new 3 week rower, an...
