Where is everybody? Yes, you need to use the V2.1 Beta itself to see Oarbits for the V2.1 races but it is well worth the trouble. Earlier this week the problem with only the local racer moving was resolved so now we can have real races. I've had a couple of races where I've been able to row righ alo...

Eric, After reading your post I examined my slides which I have had for several years and their is no sign of any rusting caused by sweat accumulation. I tend to sweat quite a bit during hard workouts but have never had an issue with sweat getting into the slides. I tend to fling most of the sweat o...

I used to run cross country sometimes in temperatures over 100 farenheit with zero shade. Adapting to it was just a matter of conditioning, after a few weeks it wasn't an issue but it was sure nice to dump cold water on my head after finishing. One nice aspect of the heat is how quickly your muscle...

Thanks for the replies. I know that all of the difference in HRs is not caused by heat but I should have mentioned that I did a 5K about a month ago. It was my first running race in about 7 years so I didn't push too hard. The temperature was 15F to 20F cooler than today. My time was almost a minute...

Competing in warm temperatures.
I haven't quit indoor rowing but the old running bug has bitten me again and I'm competing in corporate track. My best events are the 1600m, 3200m and 5K. I am trying to limit my running as my knees are a still a little suspect but using rowing to cross train is keeping the old CV system very fit. T...

How to find an ERG in North Wales.
I'm heading for North Wales on Wednesday and am trying to locate an ERG or two at a gym so I don't fall completely apart while on vacation. I went to the Concept 2 UK site but couldn't seem to find the ERG locater. Can anyone direct me to an ERG finder for the UK that works?

My system is simple. Aerobic exercise 5 - 7 hours a week. For the last 4 years my erg has been my exercise of choice. I try to eat quality food but don't count calories. If I slip down to 3 -4 hours of exercise I pick up a little weight but it disappears fast when the exercise goes up. This regime h...

Tony, The real problem is that you want an even more specialized subset of the software. Pete at Digital Rowing does keep a wish list and tries to incorporate those changes when he does upgrades. If you became a customer you to could ask him to make the changes you want to see and if enough others r...

Re: RowPro Impressions and Questions
If this software cost $39 or so, I'd probably buy it just to support the product and hope that future upgrades would add the features I want. At the $99 price point, I want a full featured product that is easily customizable to my needs. Maybe with version 3.0? I'd just like to make one comment her...

Probably shouldn't touch this topic but what do they say about fools? I have a CBreeze on my erg so that reduces the drag even more. Most of my training rows are around 95 but I will do long rows at 75 - 80. Sometimes in shorter races 5K or less I will use a DF of 105 but most of the time I just lea...

She must have a helluva grip ! She may be retired which gives her an extra 10 hours a day for something a little unique now and then. If she's in shape, she may have rowed 5K in 20 minutes or so 10 times a day. Maybe the erg is hooked to a generator. Kathryn's 5K time in the rankings is 27:03.8. Th...

Well said Hennie. I just checked my RP log and it starts on March 11, 2003. My total RP metes is now up to 8,631,769. The C2 erg would just be an exercise machine without. Now RowPro is my training plan, log book and link to a whole group of online rowers who keep my training and racing very interes...

Me too Bill! Thanks for your kind words though, it's very much appreciated. I'm passionate about the sport of indoor rowing and wanted the video to reflect the passion, grit determination, fun and elation ergers experience through the sport. The clips are taken from an assortment of regional...
