This is a really interesting thread. I'm still a little skeptical that training at altitude, for someone born at sea-level, would provide any longterm benefits. If the science is there, I'll take your word for it. From what I recall from some of my physical anthropology courses (I'm an archaeologist...

I noticed that the Eh! Team is using GoogleEarth to track their 'round the world row. It looks interesting. You have to download the GoogleEarth file and open it to see their progress.

Thanks again, Alissa! That link worked. After a quick read of that thread, it seems I'm not off track thinking about breathing. Breathing and rowing
I'm relatively new to rowing, indoor to be specific. I rowed last year for several months, had an unrelated osteopathic issue that put me off the erg until recently. I started rowing again combined with weight training about three weeks ago to get back into shape. I've logged over 100k and lost five...

I've recently started rowing again, two weeks ago to be exact. So, I thought I'd join the group. I started rowing last year after buying a Model C and made good progress for several months until an unrelated hip injury put me off it until now. My ultimate weight loss goal is 180 down from 215. Eatin...
