Thank you ulu and LJ Wagner for your insightful comments. I am taking it easy with my rowing, it has been this way for about a week or so, the pain has almost dissipated but has yet to completely diminish. I am taking the kind advice from LJ Wagner, as I had previously suspected, and looking for fla...

Wrist injury, minor
I was rowing a few days ago and really pushing myself that I think I compromised my technique for performance. On that very day, my left wrist started hurting and I could feel the restricted rotation and the minor sensation of pain. Since thence, I have only been rowing lightly in order to gradually...

Hello there, I am not an expert of any sort, but I have been indoor rowing for quite a while now and have a structured format of a workout I do. On a fundamental level, the 'warm up' consists of what yourself feels prepares your body. It differs from the type of workout you will be doing, ie if doin...

Thank you for the replies! I sense that I'm getting more acute to the tradition of the CRASH-Bs and simultaneously attracted to Indoor Rowing more so than ever before. A hammer wouldn't be a bad prize at all, unless you are holding it in a dangerous position next to the second or third prize winner ...

WIN THE CRASH-BS, YOU GET A HAMMER?
If you win a CRASH-Bs event, as seen in the picture, the winner is awarded a Hammer?!
I know little of the symbolism behind a hammer, but could anyone shed light on this topic? Why a hammer, and what is it meant to represent?(strength?)
Thank you.

Catchphrase
"No Compromise: neither in quality nor in service" How about that? ;) Ive been using Concept2 Indoor Rower D, from which I get much self satisfaction out of, and do think Concept2 indoor rower is the only rower out there that looks as if something I would invest my money on. Other people may have d...

New Model D???
On the front page of concept2.com, the image of C2 Model D indoor rower changed. That is apparently the new design but I much prefer the old one(aside from performance, which I suspect will be the same, the look of the machine is somewhat worsened). Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

USING WHAT PART OF THE FOOT IN THE DRIVE
What part of the foot do you use to push yourself away from the front of the indoor rower, in the drive motion? Some people lift their heels up when they are in the catch, is that natural?, and push on their ball of feet part to push themselves in the drive motion. Should you try and apply the force...

DRINKING WATER AND BATHROOM BREAK FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE
I have recently switched to Concept 2 Indoor Rower in order to save my knees later on and as I was akeen to benefit from this remarkable machine. Unlike running on the treadmill, I've had difficulty in finding the right time to go and drink water or go to the toilet. When I was running, I took sever...
